Great dinner at their restaurant--Maslows (sp?) Not a great place for gambling. I am a frequent visitor to Las Vegas and other Indian casinos--this one was a bust--only 9 video poker machines in the whole place, A big disappointment for me.
BIG PROBLEM AT NORTHERN QUEST! First I know you should never leave a machine with money in it. I was playing a penny machine and needed to use the bathroom. I had no one around to watch my machine. Thinking I'm close to it (20ft) gone only 3-4 min. When I came back my $160.00 was gone out of the machine. I found an employee and told her she got security and it all started. At first they were trying to find the person. With all the cameras I thought it would be easy. But NO. All they have was he wore purple shirt and short blond hair. They couldn't find him. How is that possible in a place where cameras are all over the place. The way the person got my money was to walk up to a redeeming machineand I guess walked out. BUT the casino couldn't tell if that's what happened. If when this person had to go to a CASHIER instead of a redeeming machine security could have stop him and get my money back. During this time EVERY PERSON helping kept saying "This happens ALL the time". If this is true why do they still have the redeeming machine. That day two other people lost thier money too. One was $50 and the other was $600. None got thier money back. Why is the casino letting this happen?
PLACE IS A JOKE...THEY PAY OUT MONTHLY PENALTIES TO WASHINGTON STAT GAMBLING COMMISSION DUE TO THE CASINO NOT PAYING OUT ENOUGH...until this casino has competition or people quit going there they will continue to keep ripping folks of...or go take 1000$ there and see how fast you lose it there...maybe last you an hour...maybe less..I've heard rumors of them removing some face cards from their 21 shoes to increase their odds...prob do, the place doesn't like paying out ANYONE...and they gladly pay penalties to the state to not pay out...don't believe me...call the Washington state gambling commission...they will tell you...QUEST SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN...bar none
I visited the casino to try my luck with rullette, and I knew they had one in the non smoking area, but it was never open, it seems like every weekend it is closed. The slots seemed like they didn't meet state regulations on payouts. Would not recommend it.
I came to gamble but I couldn't win here. And I wasn't the only one either. Lots of people were saying the same thing. After about 6 hours I had it. I never won more than a dollar the whole time. I talked to a lady at one of the places I ate and she said that her husband went through about 300.00 in an hour and that no one had been winning here in weeks.I know its gambling but.... Come on you have to win something otherwise its not fun and you wont stay as long. The staff were a little weird if you asked them a question. It was almost like they were giving out secrets or something. I asked one of the ladies where the restrooms were and she gave me a dirty look and walked away... Seriously? IDTS..... Weird.
This casino is really fun. My fiance likes it because it has tables and I like it for that reason too! :) Lots of different machines as well. Tables never close they keep going all night! ;)
The rooms are top of the line and the service is exceptional. We stayed at the Northern Quest to attend an Elton John concert and they provided a shuttle to and from the concert.
Stick to the skill games, stay away from the machines. Poker tournaments daily, but there are a lot of regulars - and they play off each other with signs, gestures and chip placements. If you read people, you can out play them - but the novice player will simply be giving money away. It's pretty sad, because it will affect the casino in the long run, when only locals show up.
My wife, brother-in-law, and his wife all went to a concert at Northern Quest a while back. Concert was good, security was a little snippy. We were enjoying ourselves and having fun with the other concert goers, between all 4 of us we had drank a total of 8 beers in 3 hours of dining and football watching at Epic. Went to buy a beer to take into the show and bartender says you two have been "cut off". What the heck?? The security gal (blonde) who made this decision was no where to be found and the other security guy had no answers for us. I don't get embarrassed easily but this wasn't a pull aside and whisper in my ear. I really feel they are mistaking people being drunk for people having fun, that is a fine line to cross in an entertainment atmosphere and not good for business. Besides that incident, I have always and will continue to enjoy this great casino/entertainment spot.
Excellent. Very friendly staff and the hot tub and lounge area are so relaxing and comfortable. Great for a couples get-a-way or some girl friend time!
