A bit far from Aracaju but worth seeing. The restaurants are simple , the prices are ok.
Praia do saco é linda. A água é bem azul. Vale a pena conferir. O local compensa a visita.
Para quem quer tranquilidade e paz... Otimo...
This is a beautiful beach, but I'm not sure it's really worth visiting if you're coming from Aracaju. Honestly I was a bit disappointed after the beaches of Alagoas. It was quite crowded when we went (high season). The water looked dirty, but I was told that was just because of some decomposing rocks under the sand. You can see the state of Bahia from there.
I asked a friend from Aracaju if he recommended a beach outside Aracaju that worth the visit. He said "you will enjoy the beaches from Aracaju, no need to go further but if you wanna try, go to Praia do Saco". Well, me and my wife tried, and in some way he was right.Praia do Saco is about 60km from Aracaju. The road is one line each way, what is kind of dangerous, but it is very pleasant, with beautiful landscapes, full of coconut trees shaped by the wind, sand dunes and even a bridge through a river. Once we got there, we parked the car in a parking lot very close to the beach. The beach is very clean and warm, no waves, since it is actually a lagoon. You could swim like 30 to 40 meters and the water was still bellow our waist. The kids were loving it. Also, once inside the water, you could enjoy the beautiful view of the wind shaped coconut trees, the rocks, the dunes and the waves hitting the sand bank at the open sea shore. You could spend you time by relaxing inside the calm waters, or rent a speeder to take you to the other side of the lagoon, were you could swing in the open sea beach, with bigger waves and probably colder water. You could also rent a buggy and cross the sand dunes. We weren't in the mood to do any of this, but people around us were really enjoying the buggy ride. The restaurant was expensive. Our first idea was to have lunch there but we gave up. It was also very crowded and we couldn't find any reclining chair or even proper space to lay down near the water. So we have just sit inside the restaurant barracks and ordered some coconut water. And we got bored. Simple as that. After 1 and a half hours we took our leave back to Aracaju. We discussed in our way back that maybe in another day, not so crowded, taking some food with us to avoid the restaurant prices and arriving early we would have had a better time.Anyway, keep it all in mind when you decide to visit Praia do Saco, so you can have a better time.
