Beautiful church, friendly parishioners, the service was in papiemento the official language of Aruba.
Went to the church. Said a few prayers but unfortunately not enough candles to light. They we all taken.
Beautiful little church atop the island. Worth the tour if you can get on one. Got to tour much of the island when we did this one. Would definitely recommend for a side trip if looking for an excursion.
Awesome experience with great views. We went with a tour and the church was amazing to see. We couldn't believe how old the church is and what exceptional shape it is in.
Don't make this your highlight for the day, good place to take pictures of island from. Make this a short stop for a long day of sight seeing. Don't be a jerk, put some $$ in the box. All goes to the poor on the island.
My husband and I attended mass at St. Franciscus Church. We wanted to experience mass in another language. What an awesome experience. The choir and music were outstanding and the people were very welcoming. We were glad that we attended the service even though we did not understand Papiamento.
We enjoy the good music and singing. The people are warm and friendly. They do not have and English Mass but the church location is convenient to Renaissance Hotel.
This is a must see when in Aruba. The church is, absolutely, beautiful; the location gives spectacular views of the city below it. A guide can point out different things from that view. The inside of the church is not only beautiful, but has such a great history.
We wanted to attend Mass while on vacation and based on the time, our taxi driver took us to this church. It was simple and beautiful. Although the mass was not in English, the language and the music were amazing. It was also First Communion which was awesome to see.
It was rebuilt in the 50's, so while lovely, it's true beauty is its location. Worth the trip just getting there.
