Mother Maria Teresa & Pope had been, a saint is buried there & the walls and pillars are painted in a geometric pattern.Definitely worth a visit
Impressive medieval cathedral. At night when the city fades, garden under the building is completely immersed in age-old.
Do see the cathedral while in Olomouc. The day we visited a delightful young guide gave us a private tour of the main altar and side altars. Don't forget to visit the crypt downstairs to see display of John Paul II's visit.
Our visit to this impressive cathedral was made even more interesting by the guide who showed us round and explained everything- this was free.
While you are in Olomouc go see their cathedral, you will get to see, how smaller Czech towns did in comparison to Prague.
You feel the Gothic time atmoshere everywhere around you. It must be great to experience a concert in this place
While studying Czech at the local university, I attended several music concerts in this beautiful with surprisingly nice acoustics. What a gem!
It is a cathedral well worth the time to visit it has so much to see and a history that is linked with that of the country
Very impressive Cathedral, with very friendly guides who are happy to tell you a little history of the place and take you into the presbytery. The organ was being played while I was visiting, a very nice touch!
Not sure what else you are going to see that will top this in Olomouc. Beautiful cathedral, with a interesting history. Both Pope john Paul II and Mother Teresa took the time out to visit this holy place, there are also the partial remains of Saint John Sarkander on show - he was tortured to death in a nearby chapel, which was then a prison.
