North course is in good shape. Greens are much improved. Totally new staff!
I am an Orlando resident and certainly understand that we have been mired by a severe drought the last few months, but I've played several courses during this drought and I would be embarrased if I owned this course. There were full grown weeds everywhere, 50% of the greens were like putting on rocks, and there wasn't much difference between the rough and the fairways. An absolute waste of my money and to cap it all off, there was no gear (I needed balls) in the pro shop because they were supposedly switching providers. I wouldn't pay more than $7 to play this course again.
This course was one of the best in Central Florida for a long time. It had 27 holes and was really great to play. Time and poor ownership/management haven't been kind to the once great track. One of the nines was closed a few years ago due to lack of funds. The remaining 18 holes are in horrible shape. The greens are just barely useable and the fairways consist of whatever grows plus a bit of overseed this year. Very few people are playing this course so I'm not sure how long it will last with so many good quality courses in the area. It's sad as this was one of my favorite courses.
This course use to be a beautiful well-kept facility approximately 3 years ago. Nowadays the Golf Group has shut down the North course causing the facility to go from 27 to 18 holes. I would accept this, if they actually maintained the 18 holes left. The greens are downright poor. It was like putting on concrete with grass missing in many areas. I think the Golf Group is trying to make this course into a profitable course by cutting costs everywhere including greenskeepers who actually give a damn.
This course may not be the most difficult, but it is a nice course to have a friendly game and enjoy the scenery and wildlife as you walk or ride between holes. The grounds are pretty well maintained, and while it is not the most challenging course, it is good for a less stressful game of fun while still practicing your swing. It also has a nice putting green, and the golf club has a good little café and golf shop for relaxing after your game.
this is one the better golf facilities in the orlando area - when you look at the low prices it may be the best value in the area. 3 Excellent 9 hole courses, very well maintained and greay greens. Fun and challenging. totally worth the dive to apopka ( about 35 minutes from the disney area)
Worst course I have ever played. The staff is rude, course is in therrible condition. The cashier would not open the pro shop until 6:50 AM despite taking a 7:00 tee time. He also attempted to charge us $10 more than the rate we booke don line. The greens are more fungus than grass. The fairways and tees are more weeds than grass. No drinlk cart and the bartender explained that it was due to budgets issues. They have nine holes of frisbee golf and looks as though they should convert the other 18 holes to the same.
We have eaten breakfast there and it was very good. They do offer lunch/dinner specials that are worth checking out. Very friendly staff.
My husband and I just played at this course. There is great potential for this course to be awesome, a very nice layout. The greens were very rough, hard with little grass on them. Very hard to putt. the tee boxes either had long rough grass or no grass on them. The fairways weresandy, with little grass growing on them. It was discouraging golfing here. I will not play here again.
I can put up with the bad fairways but to be treated poorly by the staff is unacceptable. The staff never smiles and are not courteous.
