It looks nice on the outside, bit inside it looks old and poorly constructed (cheap looking). I can't speak for the 'better' seating area, but the seats were way too small and crowded together. I'm not a larger person, but the people I was with are-they were very uncomfortable crammed in the seats. The seat rows are very long with the only way out being either end of the row making it difficult to get up to get a drink or use the restroom, everyone has to stand up to let you squeeze past. The staff/ volunteers were very friendly and helpful.
Recently moved to Appleton from Arizona. Bought tickets to Book of Mormon and attended the production. Seats were comfortable but a bit tight (not much personal space).
The Fox Cities PAC is a wonder venu for all arts, every show is just wonderful. The theater is absoutely beautiful! From the moment you walk in the door, the experience is over the top. Volunteers open the doors and greet you, wishing you a wonderful evening and 'enjoy the show'. The concessions are convient, the lobby very nice and the theater very comfortable. We have been season ticket holders since the place opened for both the arts alive season and the broadway season, and LOVE the entire experience.
The Fox Cities PAC is an excellent venue for a multitude of Broadway and community shows and concerts. We are season subscribers to the Fox Valley Symphony as well as the Broadway series of shows. We appreciate having the PAC in our community to bring the fine arts to Appleton. The facility is lovely and all the seats are very good. We highly recommend the PAC!
We always go to shows at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. We have seen Wicked, Annie, Le Mis, and so many more. From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like royalty. Volunteers greet you, and help you with any questions. Food is a little pricey so eat pefor hand.
Went to the Colin and Brad 2 man show last night. We did upper level seats and had no problems seeing or hearing the show. Parking is cheap and convenient. If you visit one of the many drinking establishments after the show for one, the parking garage will be empty when you are ready to leave. It is always organized and well staffed for all types of event. Buy your tickets and enjoy top of the line events!
It is a small theatre, but don't equate small with poor quality. All the seats in this venue have a great view of the stage, and I could hear the performers clearly. The PAC also has a lot of great Broadway shows that stop here on tour. I saw Phantom of the Opera, and I have seen this show at other venues. The PAC definitely matched my experience in Milwaukee.
I have seen multiple shows here. Most seats are good but avoid the sides if possible. My favorite spot is second row in the middle of the dress circle. Shorter people may not like the main floor as the rise is not steep enough to see over the person in front of you. My only disappointment was leaving at intermission when the concert band was way too loud and I was afraid of damaging my ears. I learned after the fact that ear plugs would have. Even available.
Easy in and easy out. Ample parking aright across the street. Top notch entertainment. We will do this again.
I remember well the days before the PAC was built, so appreciate that we now have such a fine facility for Broadway-caliber shows and entertainment. The seats are comfortable, but I usually spend time shifting my head from right to left to see over heads, especially if I am in the orchestra (main floor) seating area. I wish they had put more of a slope to the seating or a little more spacing between seats. The interior is still in like-new condition and is spotlessly maintained.
