It is hard to explain about this place and lot to say. Bangalore now is nothing and more of metropolitan city. I saw Bangalore changing from 2006 and I don't know how it was before. I used to hear from many of colleagues who are here for more than 25 years saying, still some signs of old Bangalore can be seen in Malleswaram. I did my Masters from IISc, which is attached to Malleswaram and luckily I also worked for an MNC placed in 18th cr for about an year. Listening to music and walking in Sankey tank in evening time is very nice. lot to say in one word Malleswaram is great for many reasons.
the place is so filled with all kind of stuff you want that it is always a pleasure to casually walk, shop and eat in the main road.
At one place there are four temples in a circle. One is Shiva temple below the ground level with a tank , water is pouring through Nandhi on the head of shiva. Another temple is GANGAMMA. there is a idol which will attract you definitely you will not move from that place for atleast ten mins.Another temple is LAKSHMI NARASHIMMA. Neatly maintained very orthodox. Mentally you feel happyAnother one is Easwar on a small hill very old temple. worth visit

Its well connected with the Bangalore city with the City buses. There is a Mantri Mall in Malleswaram which is a very Big mall and attraction of this place. one can spend the whole day with the family here.
Old temples, flower markets & auditoria brush shoulders with malls & business centres. A true mix of tradition and modernity
One of the oldest areas in Bangalore with lots of ancient temples, bustling markets and crowded streets. There are some very good restaurants around. Shopping aplenty and good places to hang out. There is also a good water body- the Sankey Tank.
Malleswaram is well know for many Temples in Bangalore. If you are a Temple Visit Lover, then must go to Malleshwaram to see them all.
