Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Even stayed late to wait on us to show up. We had the closing time wrong.
This was our second visit while in Bardstown. This winery is a small family run business. Tom is a wonderful host. I think pretty much tasted all the wine he had ready and some Rose petal he was working on. The wines are very unique. The cranberry is fabulous!!!. As well as the blackberry that was aged in barrels with bourbon and then rum. This is a must! ! !
Love the wines here. Very cozy and the owners are so nice, you feel like they've brought you into their home! Thanks for an always enjoyable experience!
Loved this little winery! Mr. McIntyre is soo nice!!
What a great place! Nice wines made mostly from berries. I am a dry red drinker but I really enjoyed the wines here. Loved the wine made from daylily. What great service too. Very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our visit. If you are in the area this is well worth a visit. We are here for the bourbon trail. Nothing much open on Sunday and we wanted to come to a winery or two. So glad we did! Highly recommend!
While on a recent vacation in Bardstown we needed a little break from all the Bourbon and stopped at McIntyre's...A very cute little winery. We did a wine tasting and then shared a bottle of the Blueberry wine. I have to say the owner there was one of the nicest ladies I ever met. If in the area again I would stop in again...
We really enjoyed the owner/winemaker. He let us take a look in the back room where he does all of the wine making and explained his process to us. It was interesting and he was so nice and enjoying what he is doing. We will definitely return when we are in the area again!
My brother and I go to a winery every year for Thanksgiving eve. It is our tradition. The past few years we have tried to go to some new places. Our experiences going to Huber's winery became less and less favorable each visit. We were treated like a number and felt basically like they could take or leave our business and could care less if we came back again. This can not be said for McIntyres!!! What a great visit we had. It was a little further away from us than we anticipated (about 24 miles past Bernheim Forest exit of I-65). However, it was well worth it!!! The winery is a small cabin that used to belong to the family of the owner. Out back he grows his own berries, which he uses to make the Blackberry, Blueberry, wines etc. He showed us the barrells in his bottling room and explained to us each step he goes thru to make the wine. He even let us try a new 'special brew' he was experimenting with directly out of the barrell!Mr. McIntyre was soooo nice and friendly! He is a small business owner and very proud of his wines. I do not know if I have met a friendlier person than this man. He let us sample all of the wines. They were all fabulous!!! He also has a special until the end of 2013 if you like his facebook page you get 20% off. The prices of the wine can not be beat. They are very affordable and worth every penny and more!!! The honeysuckle wine was so unique and tasty! It was very neat that he showed us where he actually picks the honeysuckle from that he uses. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place to all winos (lol). I plan on going back as soon as possible. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!
We stopped by and had a wonderful visit with the owner Mr. McIntyre. He is a great example of a small entrepreneur and the fruit wines were really good. We'd recommend stopping by and supporting this small business.
I absolutely love this winery! We are not local but we go there as much as we can. They have excellent wines for every taste and are extremely friendly and helpful!
