Kids playground, friendly squirrels that you can feed by hand. Lots of green things and a lake with loads of wildlife. Proper job.
Kelsey Park is a nice place to stroll around in the afternoon. If you keep an eye out, you can observe the local wildlife including squirrels and different species of birds. I was there during the winter time but I would love to see what the park is like in the summer.
This park is great as it has options for dog walkers and areas that are dog free. The crazy golf is brilliant but very challenging!
Not been here for a while because of the location but it's great for a walk with the family or little ones.I'd avoid taking dogs because it's quite busy and very large.
I have visited this park infrequently in recent years and agree with all of the positive comments made by others. However, on a couple of recent dog-walking trips with my daughter (Summer 2014) I noticed that there were signs relating to the presence of rats in the park. I didn't have to look too intently to see them. Two rats ran across the path a few yards in front of us and on the grassed area adjacent to the path, and on a bright Sunday morning another was actually munching on a loaf of bread which someone had 'kindly' placed on the spike of the boundary fence. Probably not much that can be done about it in terms of laying down poison, etc, but slightly disconcerting........
Took the grand children in half term, Suitable for both young and old, Well worth a visit, we thoroughly enjoyed it in February and am looking forward to visiting again in Spring or Summer there's plenty to do, it has a fantastic playground for young children plus a little cafe with very friendly staff. A beautiful lake and both the lake and park are full of wildlife, the birds and squirrels are quite tame and will feed from your hands, also good for dog walkers However as to be expected there are certain parts that dog walking is not permitted.
Feeding the ducks, the beautiful lake, stunning views, herons in summer - love it all. Also plenty of spaces for picnics too.
Great local park with multiple access points. Nice circular walk, some areas dog free. Colony of herons on the lake. Childrens play area with cafe located next to it. Park very popular and well maintained
Nestled in the heart of this town is the amazing natural yet well maintained spot called Kelsey Park. A haven for mums and their push chairs, families with slightly older kids, keep fit folk or the elderly partaking of their daily walk, this is a must see.
Amazing park spot...caters for all ages! Refreshments and eats sold too, what more could you ask for. Highly recommend it and will return soon.
