Cute little winery, with one of the best gift shops we had seen in a winery, interesting sweeter wines, Seems like a place that people that live there, just pop into to say HI! Friendly staff
Whenever we arein Benezette me stop here. Great people and GREAT wine! Owners also have a beautiful rental right in town at a great price!
The owners/employees were extremely likeable and welcoming. In fact, he met us at our car door with an umbrella because it was raining! Nice selection of wines and we were encouraged to tasted before buying so we would get what we liked. I liked also receiving a Wine Selection listing with sugar scale and good descriptions. Great little gift shop and well worth stopping in on the way to the elk visitor's center !
We went there to buy a couple of bottles for a friend and ended up buying some for our self too. The prices were reasonable too.
We followed the small roadside signs on a whim as we were passing through; we're glad we did. They opened despite the whole valley being without electricity... apparently the Benezette Store has the only generator for miles. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable; she picked out the right wine with just a couple short questions. They have some tourist trinkets as well.
Wine was excellent people were very nice. Prices on the wine was extremely reasonable and so much more to this shop than just wine
This is a real gem in the mountains of Elk County, in the town of Benezette, Pa. It is like a trip back in time when folks made their own wine. Great selection and free tasting. The staff will recommend their wines to compliment your taste. "Old Fred" is one of the favorites. My favorite is "Rattlesnake Red". They give you a wine list and a grading flavor from dry to sweet that helps in your choices of wines. Many items for sale, i.e. wine racks, books on wines and the local heritage, hand lotions, and other knick-nacks. I would recommend this winery to anyone and hope you choose to make a trip. As an added bonus, and free, travel there in the "rut" season, and you will see herds of elk grazing right in the town square.! Or visit the Elk County Nature Center to learn all about the county and learn about the elk and their habitat. Adrian & Barb, Harrisburg, Pa.
This was a cute little winery gift shop with friendly staff. The best part was that it was free tasting. The bottles had pictures of elk on them as a decoration. I did find out the wine was not made right there but near by in the Laurel Mountains.
We always stop here when attending the Chainsaw Rendezvous the end of February every year. Nice selection of wines
This is a must visit if in the area. They offer free wine tasting and have some very good choices. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Unfortunately my wife didn't care for what she tasted but I liked quite a few selections and bought some bottles. Also the banna pepper mustard is a must try.
