Beautiful Plantation House with a few hotel rooms and a great bar/restaurant area. The bar staff was very welcoming and genuinly friendly and accommodating. We got lovely Happy Hour cocktails, blended with real fruit in the mixer. This is something we did not find often on the island as the normal rum punch is from normal juice out of a package. This was a surprise really and most other cocktails are just overly sweet. At Firefly it is a definite step up in quality and the wonderful tropical fruit gets mixed in the blender with good rum, very good. The view is amazing and the plantation style of the bar extremely cozy and pretty.
Thanks Mark! We are so glad you enjoyed the Roti.Thank you for visiting the Firefly.
Great site, good service, to over priced for quality of food. Drinks are overpriced , but good . Poo clean and relaxing , while there visit the plantation which you will find interesting.
Firefly has a beautiful atmosphere overlooking their plantation. We came for dinner and breakfast, both meals were excellent. Dinner was very romantic and the service impeccable! For breakfast we had a traditional Caribbean breakfast and a delicious omelet.
We booked a tour online of the Firefly Plantation, and we were very impressed with the entire plantation and enjoyed learning about the fruits grown and produced here.We were able to taste fresh almonds (a treat for me, as I love almonds!), which were soft and very tasty - not like the hard, dried versions I am used to.Next was a guava, which was lovely to try fresh, as we love the Guava jam and fruit preserves that many locals make here. Then a sample of sugar cane, and our guide even pressed some of the cane and we were able to taste the fresh juice. It was so sweet and good.We each received a coconut for the coconut water to drink, which was very refreshing, as it was a hot day. Then a lovely brown shelled coconut with the crunchy dried coconut inside.Another fruit was the orange, which was quite sweet as well, although it was still green. They also have a garden where they grow all of their own herbs, and we saw the spinach plant which grows like a vine here. Interesting!Something very amusing was the resident pig that plows the land. Very cute! The tour lasted about 45 minutes, and costs only 10 EC per person. Very well worth it.The restaurant looked lovely, and if we would have had more time, we would have enjoyed eating here. I'd highly recommend visiting the plantation and taking the tour if you are curious about all of the local fruit and veggies grown here. They also have bee hives for local honey.
Food is very good and it has a great bar. Had been to another Firefly location in Mustique and loved that too. Never stayed overnight but it looks great, with a big inviting pool.
Firefly was an amazing experience. Let me share that we don't mind spending good money on a nice place for our holiday, but I usually find I am disappointed because the accommodation, based on what we paid ends up being below our expectations….not here! I find the room over delivers, they should be charging more! There is a ton of personalized service, which we didn't even use, but it is available; from turn down service, to customized picnics and a complimentary cell phone for convenience. The staff is amazing and I also love the hotel dogs, Jude and Anna; very unobtrusive, but little sweethearts. I know better than to invite them into my room, but I wanted to! The restaurant is also fantastic, with lovely coconut water and local tea for breakfast and a new menu each night for dinner. If you come to Bequia, this is your only choice for accommodation!
We visited the orchard during our honeymoon and it was a real treat. After touring and tasting local fruits off the tree, sit back and relax over a great meal! Staff and tour guide were knowledgable and friendly! Could have stayed for hours and ate all their sugar cane!!
The setting is tropical elegance. The food is locally grown, fresh caught and excellently prepared. The presentation is flawless. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Pricy, but worth it.
I just want to say I love your review, thank you so much. It made me laugh, the lovey way you describe Keith and the pig (Percy is his name by the way) coming out of the bananas. You sum it all up perfectly!I am so glad you enjoyed it, please do come back.
