It is a quaint boardwalk but very busy and crowded. Lots of shops, ice cream and fudge. There is a nice book store and certainly many beach supply shops. There is music from time to time but it is so crowded it can be hard moving around.
Bethany is a great , low key spot to enjoy the beach. We typically go in September or October when the weather is still great and the crowds are gone. The shops are pretty much touristity stuff with restaurants serving good, beach fare. People are very friendly and the vibe is pure chill. Love it!
The Bethany Beach boardwalk is a great place for kids to enjoy and the bands that are there every weekend provide entertainment for both young and old - we always get ice cream right there and sit and watch the people
Love this boardwalk! Size is much more manageable than OC Boardwalk! It has wonderful little shops and great choices for food. Great option for someone wanting less walking.
You have to experience it before I say anything about it. They have numerous bands or entertainment on the weekends. This is a boardwalk for families. If you want to see America and all of its glory go to Ocean City. It is hard to explain but I like Bethany Beach. This is a quiet and quaint little area of life that needs to be explored by those who know what they want.
Small, quaint, quiet, family beach resort. Lots of shops and food. Check out Sandy Toz shop. Every month she has specials. She had 50percent off clothing and apparel. $1.00 jewlery items. Weekend concerts. Movie night on the beach. The boardwalk can get congested and crowded in prime season. Great downtown area with walking and bike paths to get to downtown so you do not have to drive and park. Also great trolley system for transportation that has many convenient stops. The police force has a strong presence in the downtown area and they monitor highway 1 for speeding. A great family vacation spot.
Bethany Beach's boardwalk is a very pleasant place to while away a few hours. Some nice opportunities to shop and some very good restaurants within walking distance. Not quite as big or number of shops as Rehoboth. But as in any seaside community in Delaware, bring a pocket full of quarters, because parking spots are hard to find and when you find one, it will cost you. To the tune of about $1.50 per hour at metered spaces.
Loved the boardwalk. A nice break from the activity of nearby Rehoboth beach. Loved the morning exercise classes on the boardwalk, beach and bandstand area. Great boardwalk for an early morning walk!
Really nice boardwalk but a little cool on the beach but stayed another day and the weather was perfect!
Beach boardwalk is a lovely stroll. Buildings near the boardwalk are nicely done and pleasing to the eye. Unlike other shore boardwalks with absence of clutter, no "yucky" commercialism.
