This is such a lovely chapel. We visited on a day that the doors were locked, but we so enjoyed taking photos against the beautiful stone walls and by the snow covered rocks in the creek.
The Beaver Creek Chapel is in a beautiful setting just a couple of blocks from downtown Beaver Creek. They have a number of services for several denominations, then you can walk to Beaver Creek for a nice brunch.
We've attended both Christmas, New Year's and Easter services here. Just a word of advice - it is stunningly beautiful inside and I have found it difficult to concentrate on the service when surrounded by so much natural beauty and even wildlife antics during the sermons! Definitely worth taking in a Sunday service and then returning to the slopes!
Sitting above the Osprey hotel and along the Beaver Lake Trail hike, this chapel is absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by flowers and made of rock, it is a picture postcard sight. We were there on a Saturday and a wedding was taking place..so pretty. The creek rushing by it is a place to just contemplate nature in all it's beauty and peace.
Beautiful stone church. Window at the front of the chapel has a great view, but the sun can be a problem. There is parking at the top of the chapel, but you do have to move immediately after your ceremony.
A lovely building in an even more lovely setting. As a pastor I believe the beauty of any chapel is the quality of the preaching inside. But in such a beautiful building, surrounded by the Creator's handiwork, the preacher and the hearer should be both be inspired to listen carefully. And here I do not mind when a worshipper's eyes wander to what is outside the windows. I am thankful for being able to return here each year for many reasons.
It's an inter-faith chapel, so many religions practice here. I am Catholic, and I have been to the Catholic mass there and it's wonderful. I also got married there this summer, and we had the most beautiful ceremony! The stone and wood in the interior is a stunning contrast, and the pews are cerulean blue upholstery. Wrought iron antler chandeliers hang from the traditional vaulted chapel ceiling. The main attraction, visually, is the huge window behind the altar where you can see the lush flora surrounding the chapel. It's one of my favorite places!
A short, beautiful, five minute walk from The Hyatt brings you to the chapel. We attended the baptist service early morning Sunday. They make staying spritually on vacation easy. There is a schedule of times for each denomination including catholic, lutheran, methodist, etc. It was a beautiful church and fun to be with other believers from all over the country.
Just a quick visit but what a wonderful space. Very peaceful. Would make an awesome spot for a wedding.
Nothing to dislike. Beautiful chapel, inside and out. Nice stream area outside to take pictures by. Simple but very nice.
