Dear Ranger Roger,Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write a review on your visit to the Malta at War Museum, We are very pleased that you felt the Foundation and its Staff had made an excellent job of the Museum and its over 10,000 artifacts.Pitching the level of a guided tour is quite often difficult particularly because of the varying interest levels of an often mixed audiences but we appreciate your comments on the tour.
Dear Business Traveller15Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write a review of your visit to the Malta at War Museum. We are sorry that you felt that the exhibits that total over 10,000 items were not that extensive. We accept that whilst that are other Air Raid shelters on the Island similar to the Birgu Air raid shelters. The fact that the Museum offers both the large collection of artifacts spanning the period from before the outbreak of WW2 until Malta's independence and the Shelter on the same site allows visitors to see both elements on the same site.
Dear William H,Thank you for the review of your visit to the Malta at War Museum,. We are very pleased that both you and your partner "loved" the museum, and that our guide Mark made your visit more interesting with his accounts of the build-up to the Second World War and the local politics, as well as the war itself. It is good to hear that you also found the Birgu Shelters under the museum of interest and that the way they were presented was excellent. We endeavor to ensure that visitor not only leave with an understanding of the resilience of the people of Malta and the allied forces during WW2. We find that many visitors enjoy reading James Holland's book 'Fortress Malta - An Island Under Siege'. Which presents an excellent picture of life in Malta during the war for both Service Personnel and Civilians.

Dear Anita2309,Thank you for reviewing your visit to the Malta at War Museum and that your visit gave you a better insight into the rigours of war that the civilians and service men and women endured during WW2 on the Island. We are very pleased that you took the trouble to visit more than one of our sites.
Dear failte99,Thank you for the review of your visit to the Malta at War Museum. The Museum is open Seven days a week from Sunday to Monday and please accept our apologies for the incorrect information that the local tourist board provided. We do try and keep our web sites up to date. There are over 10,000 artifacts (some of which are unique) in the Museums Galleries which illustrate the history of the Island from just prior to the commencement of WW2 until Malta's independence. It is very pleasing to read that you felt that the air raid shelters were worth every euro of the entrance fee. The Birgu shelter was the centre for Air Raid Precautions during the War, thus playing a very important part in protecting the civilian population from the extensive enemy bombing..
