What a great place to have fun with the family and family pets. We enjoyed our kayaks and the abundance if sea life. Great for fishing, snorkeling, shore diving, picnicking, and swimming. Can't wait to go back
Wonderful food - fresh fish! Big portions and reasonably priced wine. Sit outside and enjoy!
Good view of Miami please bring change for the $1.50 toll. I like to go Miami Seaquarium and the Pelican Restaurant located once you cross the bridge. The Bill Bagg Park is located in this area which has quiet, torquoise beach.
This is a great place!! The views are spectular! Beaches on both sides, clean and shady. Atlantic on one side and the bay and Miami skyline on the other! The causeway has a $1.50 charge, but totally worth it!
The beach is not really a beach but more like a small stretch of sand in front of a small parking lot. It is free to park which is a good thing in Miami. Dogs are allowed - which is the best thing about this stretch of sand. Water is not the best. Rocky bottom. Lots of seaweed and ants. If you don't mind the rough spots, this is the best place in Miami to get your dogs in the water without a hassle. BBQ grills also allowed.
In our family, every trip to South Florida includes a trip to Rickenbacher Causeway. It costs only $1.50 to cross the Causeway and the charge is only in one direction, not both. It is well worth it for the views you get. You should stop at the beach on the right as you drive over the causeway and then pull off on the right on the way back to look at the view of downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. The beach here is special and is great for families as the bay is not very deep.
Every time we are in Miami we make a point of going to the Key Biscayne causeway for a walk. Great views and a comfortable environment. The beach seems to be a popular place to take your dog for a walk and a swim.
The park is great but the dog poop on the ground and around the waters edge even in the water is not so great
I was so happy to find a beach that was PRO DOGS! This beach is FREE and is right off the highway in Key Biscayne. It does cost $1.50 to cross the bridge to get there, so make sure you bring cash for that. The beach is on your right, right when you cross the bridge. It is a nice, long stretch of beach. There are food trucks, kayak rentals, paddleboard rentals, etc. You need to bring your own chairs and umbrella if you want. We bring a cooler with our drinks and subs, and enjoy a few hours there relaxing. The water is pretty calm so you can go out and swim. Being that it is a dog beach, it isn't as well kept as the beaches in S.Beach, and has more trash then I would like to see, but it doesn't bother me too much. It doesn't prevent you from walking around and swimming, it is just here and there.
Dog friendly- goodtrash everywhere- grossweekends- unbearableweekdays- ignore the trash and try to enjoy quiet, private(ish) beach
