while the weather is nice, this is an easy inexpensive (free) way to kill a couple of hours. Heading across the brige to charlston the navy yeard is right there. The constitution is flanked by a destroyer which offers a tour also, although i didnt see it this time.-Been there done that, but interestin 1 time.. The Constitution however is just cool. Careful not to bump your head walking below decks, but this old ship is both beautiful and brings back what is was like if fignt at sea in the 1800s. Boston has alot of free things to do, from the freedom trail to this great ship too the JFK library.
我强烈建议大家从Long Wharf(就在Faneuil Hall后面一点)码头坐轮船过来,博物馆就在"自由之路“的另一头。
NIce old ship and interesting to see, I am not a big fan of ships, but it was a nice experience and some nice history behind.
Thrilling to see and experience the history of the area. We visited this site as a bus tour where we could hop off and on throughout the day, best way to see a number of sites in the city.
Great place to visit but not when its pouring with rain. Apart from that the serving naval personnel were informative and great to meet. Easy to get to and well worth a visit with other interesting places nearby. Its easy to walk to or by bus.
Being an ex US Navy veteran compelled me to take the tour, which was along the freedom trail. One gets the true perspective of what sea life was like sailors of that time. All I take from Boston and the history surrounding the city is pride to be an AMERICAN. I recommend the tour of the Constitution most highly.
This museum has great hands-on experience for both old and young centered on the history of the USS Constitution which is berthed nearby. The ship will be going into dry dock soon for 3 years, but this is an opportunity to visit the area and see a ship in dry dock and to learn more about its history and the day to day lives of its sailors. Highly recommended. Free but donations are suggested.
