The Chateau Élan Winery and Spa is only about 25 miles from my house, but once you arrive, it "feels" like it should be on a different continent. My wife, a connoisseur of all things involving spa treatments, swears the spa here is the best. There are several eating options available on the property, but Paddy's Pub is my favorite. I love the fish n chips.Looking for a great get away in north Georgia? Chateau Élan could be that place.
Very impressive winery directly across the street from the Holiday Inn Express. Large grounds for morning walks or runs, 7 restaurants, wine tours, large wine shop.
Did the Tuesday Blind wine tasting. Our service provider, Bryan, was very knowledgeable about the selection and made the challenge fun. Only one of our group was able to guess one wine out of the 18 selections correctly!
My husband and I enjoyed the wine tasting prior to the New Years Eve Speakeasy Party! We just love the walk up to the winery, it looks like a page out of European Movie! You walk in and you feel like you are back in time! Rustic, warm yet charming decor. Staff was attentive, shared information about the different wines, food to pair with along with some of their favorites. I believe they offer 3 tasting levels and price points we did the one in the middle which offered 6 tastings and it was perfect! The tasting was relaxed and casual. We did not feel rushed at all. We enjoyed the tasting which was a very nice pour and took our time enjoying the wine. This is our second time doing a tasting and both times we have met the nicest people also doing tastings and start some really neat conversations.
Fabulous golf courses, three courses + an executive par 3 course. Long course, lots of bunkers and challenges.
Wow! Great dinner with friends on the new terrace. Been a while since I enjoyed dinner at the winery- We had wine and sampled several items on the new menu from apprizers to desserts and loved each choice!!!! The service was exceptional the setting was perfect - the food was great!!! What a hidden gem!!!! I will be back- and I won't wait for a special occasion!!!
If you like drinking wine and want to know more about taste & selection, then take this tour! It's affordable (under $20). The Chateau is a beautiful, elegant setting outside and very cosy inside. We attended the 6pm tour where small groups visit the Wine Production Room. I've been on wine tours before and still learnt useful facts I hadn't heard before. The tastings were the highlight - we had individual spaces at a horseshoe table facing our Hostess who was excellent - animated, fun yet attentive. Tasted 5 wines including the Georgia specialty made from sweet Muscadine grapes. There's a large gift shop and bar where you can purchase wines by the glass or bottle and wine-related gifts. An elegant restaurant was also on site to one side of the room.
I have been at Chateau Elan Winery for business. Foods were perfect. I have joined to wine tasting. Quiet out of the city but you can find some restaurants with taxi in ten minutes.
I went here with my in-laws and husband for a wine tour. The tour cost $10 a person, you get to taste 4 different wines after, and keep your wine glass. The tour was very short and felt kind of rushed. I would not go again, even for the price.
Excellent wine tour. Tasting was the high point and we purchased some really nice wines.Tour guide was fun.
