This church looks like a tasty cup cake. It is situated a little bit out of city centre, but worth seeing.
This church is a little bit of a walk from the main square, but it's easily the most pretty site in Bratislava. The building literally sparkles and is unlike anything I've seen. I highly recommend taking a walk around the whole church - every angle is gorgeous. The story of St. Elizabeth is also one worth becoming familiar with.
It's a very nice church which happens to be blue. Some interesting mosaic detailing on the exterior. It's a little away from the old town and not in my opinion particularly worth going out of your way for. However if you happen to be nearby is something to take a look at.
This church was behind our hotel so we went round to see it before we left.It is very striking as it's very blue. Unfortunately we were unable to get into it to see what the rest of it is like.Nice to get the pictures though.
We came upon St Elizabeth's a sky blue church on the style of Gaudi whilst on the free walking tour. You get quite a shock when you first see it as it is opposite a very dreary derelict communist type building. It is lovely and the guide told us it is often used for weddings. We were unable to see inside which was a pity but I would recommend you go and see it. Better still if you can get in to take a look.
The first thing you'll notice about the Blue Church is its contrast to the majority of the communist-era high rises surrounding most sides of it. There is a school across from it which appears to have been built relatively recently in a style reminiscent of the Church. I, like many other reviewers, was not able to get inside. Walk by, take a photo and enjoy the detail of the mosaics and trim on the outside of this lovely building. It is a 3-5 minute walk from the EuroVea Shopping Centre and the nearby Danube.
Came here at night and so only had access to the outside. What a beatiful structure and so uniqely decorated, very art nouveau. My schedule prevented me from coming back and visiting the interior, next time!
If you've got the time, take a short walk out of town and gaze upon this lovely church! It's rich blue color is really astounding!
The Blue church is well worth a visit - it is small and quaint and when I was there i was lucky enough to see a wedding taking place - was so pretty.
The Church is beautiful it is very like a cupcake in its design for lack of a better description it looks like a giant gingerbread house. Directly next to it is an abandoned Communist era Apartment block which serves as stark contrast between the communist era and the Pre communist era in Bratislava
