UFO observation deck is the Tallest point of the city in which you can observ almos everything. Good view of the castle of Bratislava
The UFO Observation deck is fun to visit if the weather is nice. Some hotels have 20% discount cards but you need one card per visitor. The café at the top of the deck seems like a good place to relax, especially if it is windy and cold outside. The observation deck has a free binocular that works well. You can easily walk across the Novi Most Bridge -- it has a separate pedestrian/bicycle path that is under the vehicle deck.
Visited here in the night time and the views were really beautiful with a fantastic view of Bratislava castle. Took many obligatory photos and then visited the bar inside which wasn't busy. Got a window side table and sat admiring the view. Drinks were reasonably priced but the measures small! Gentlemen! - make sure to visit the toilets before you leave, great view but pretty unique urinals! now you'll have to go to see what I'm on about!
Nice restaurant with beautiful view on the top of SNP bridge. Good prices and excellent food and vine.If you go to Bratislava this is one of the things you shouldn't miss.
This is a gem - climb to the top and see all over Bratislava. Think it was about 6 eur and worth every penny.
We went up on what was actually rather a gloomy day but enjoyed the views all the same. The food from the bar menu was absolutely brilliant and just made me regret not choosing something from the full menu. Quite expensive, compared to other places in Bratislava but probably worth it.
This futuristic bridge really does have a flying saucer at the top of its only support tower. No need to walk up stair here as there is a great access, and with the Bratislava Tourist Discount card, you get 50% off. Great views from the top c/w restaurant and a bar! This bridge has a seperat level for walking so you are free from the traffic above. Great way to experience the Danube.Sven
We had a fantastic clear day in January and had a great view of old town, city and surrounding area. Only did the observation deck and had a drink so can't comment on food but looked like a great unique place to try. Would recommend to any tourist and a camera is a must !!
They try to emulate a real high class restaurant but they fail miserably. Entries are tasteless, duck tasted like lever, lamb rack had no rack, poor presentation. The reservation desk gave our reservation away without checking it, getting to the restaurant we almost broke our necks due to slippery pavement as it was cold outside, we pointed that out but they didn't care. Waiter couldn't give us proper information about wines neither about the food. Here is a tip for you, for the same amount of money for tree courses you can eat worthy of a king at the seven star hotel restaurant Burj Al-Arab in Dubai tasting all of Arabic cuisine with a world class service - that's worth it, this isn't. UFO-Bratislava, run for you life.
I visited the UFO Observation Deck with my brother on a day trip to Bratislava during a recent backpacking tour across Europe. As a fan of great views, 1960s lounge culture, and bizarre Soviet building projects, I found this to be one of the coolest attractions/clubs I've ever visited. The views of Bratislava from the outdoor observation deck are second to none in the city-- the entire Slovakian capital is visible from the UFO, perched high above the Danube river. Below the observation deck is a very fun 1960s style lounge, bar and restaurant. Complete with faux-rock walls, 1960s lounge music and décor, and outstanding views of the city. We did not eat here, but the drinks were very well priced given how great the view was, and how unique the site is. The thrill of using the bathrooms high above the bridge and river are worth the around 6 euro elevator ticket in themselves...Wheelchairs can easily access the lounge/restaurant UFO level (which has panoramic windows), but I'm not sure about the observation deck as it is reached by two or three additional flights of stairs. We did see one person in a wheel chair being carried up the stairs, but the views from the lounge itself might be worth not risking injury.Well worth a visit if you are spending a day or more in Bratislava. Inexpensive, fun atmosphere, and the best views of the city!
