I ended up at sunset point at the end of my hike down into the canyon on the navajo loop. Just as with every other observation point in the park, the views here are amazing. I suggest driving to sunrise point, taking the trail down to the bottom, and back up to arrive at sunset point. Bryce and inspiration points you can drive to if short on time, and this way you still get the great hike in to see the park from a different perspective. As I say in my review for sunrise point, and have others have pointed out, I suggest sunset point at sunrise and sunrise point at sunset, since both points are good for viewing each, and you'll be dealing with less tourists.
There are a few gorgeous lookout points, but Sunset point has beautiful hoodoos and good trails, such as Navajo Loop that start there. It's a good starting point to walk along the rim from Sunset to Sunrise Points too.
One of the busiest spots in Bryce Canyon, but well worth waiting for parking. The views are spectacular. If you want to see the sunset be sure to get there well before the actual sunset time as you are looking east and not at the setting sun.
Cant wait to return, as the view was breathtaking!!! Do a little homework so you know how this place was found and the amazing process of the National Park designation.
This one is my favorite easy access and a spectacular view if you don't have time to see all of them don't miss this one
What you see from here is beyond description! Bryce Canyon is unique in every way. Just nothing else looks like it. Early or late light coming into the canyon just makes it glow and the shapes are just other worldly. One of our favorite places in the Park.
This in one of the best view points in the park. Parking is close. It is also one of the longest view points and visitors should walk the entire length because the view changes so much in such a short distance.
This spot is very good for astrophotography. The arm of the milky way is easily visible and there is almost no light pollution. I am a beginner though so didn't really get good pics. I don't even the proper equipments, but I can tell it will be a feast for pro astrophotographers.
We saw this at mid day and it was awesome then! If you are thinking about traveling to this park, just go!!
If you cannot hike at this elevation, this overlook gives you at least 180 degrees of awesome views.
