We went to two shows there, Tribute to Marty Robbins which was great as well as Sons of Britches. Being cozy it puts you near the performers, which is nice.
The singers were very good. I thought there'd be more singalong hymns though. If you want to hear great singers singing a mix of their songs and some old gospel hymns, you'll be very pleased. Do not go if you're looking for an old hymn singalong service.
Great job on Marty Robbins tribute and traditional country music. Leroy New is amazing on the guitar. Energetic crowd was enjoying the show !
The artists and collection of songs was excellent, including the sense of humor. While this is a very small, intimate theatre, they desperately need to look at their sound system. It was almost impossible for us in the second row to hear the star, Leroy New. Even after his microphone had it's feed increased, it was a struggle to hear him. We neither have nor need hearing aids.
This was the best show we saw in Branson. It was a small venue, so you got an up-close, intimate experience with the performers. The stories told by Leroy brought back memories of our own childhoods and tales from our parents and grandparents. The music was exceptional and 'all country'. Which is what we came to Branson for. We were with a tour group and this was not one of the scheduled shows, but we booked it in on our free time on the advice of our tour guide. So glad we did.
Wonderful show...Enjoyed it so much. Have seen it twice. Was hoping to see it again in 2014 but was told the show won't be in Branson. If your a hank fan u can't miss seeing this show in whatever state it's playing....I would love the show to come to Canada.....
We were looking for a show to fill an afternoon and decided on this show because we are Marty Robbins fans. We were pleasantly surprised with the amazing talent of all three performers. The theater is very intimate and there are no bad seats. We would have liked to hear more Marty Robbins. They did a lot of other music, Eddie Arnold, Hank Williams, etc. and perhaps 20% Marty. Don't get me wrong, the songs were all good classic country, but it was billed as a tribute so we were expecting more MR. Anyway, I recommend the show and would see it again.
We got our tickets at 2 for 1 @ 1100 W Highway 76. No time shares here. Price was $14 each, a real bargin!!!! Trade your vouchers in at the box office as soon as you can for good seats. The show is at 2 pm Sunday -Thursday.It is a small venue but the music & talent of the 3 men were amazing. We knew all the songs & they were performed well. I would definitely recommend this afternoon show & will see it again if we are in the Branson area again!
This was our first show in Branson and what a way to start our vacation! Very gifted musicians and, of course, the music. A must see for fans of Marty Robbins!
The Show we saw at the Little Opry Theater was a tribute to Mary Robbins. This is a no frills production in a very intimate (small) theater, but what you will get when you see this show is three very excellent performers giving you a great experience as they play and sing many of the classical country music standards. I am not a great fan of classical country music, but this performance I really liked. Leroy New is the lead singer and guitar player and there is definitely a reason why he was chosen Branson’s best guitar player in 2010. The trio sings and plays for almost two hours and when you leave you know you have witnessed some of the best country music you will see. Make no mistake that Leroy New will be someone we will find and go see during each Branson visit. If you want to be up close and personal with your entertainers, then go see the Marty Robbins tribute at the Little Opry Theater. There are no graphics and video, just great musical performances.
