this place is good 24 hrs the beach is great allot of place to eat and at night the main street has manny options
When in this part of Brazil, this is a great place to go. It`s like a Brazilian Grand Bend (Canada) and is a wonderful coastal village to visit. Our room was perfect and very private at Oasis das Reis. (oasis of kings) next to the pool with an ocean view. Eat in your bikini in lively restaurants on the beach, or buy drinks from the donkey cart travelling down the beach. Incredible dune buggy rides to secluded dunes and a hidden oasis offering more drinks to help you enjoy your vacation. Also short cruises on small Brazilian sailboats at a very reasonable price. Many types of food are available day or night. Canoa is a short ride from Fortaleza on the NE coast, i would recommnend to anyone visiting this part of Brazil.
Canoa Quebrada is a small beach town about 2 hours from Fortaleza. Its beach has a cliff scenario, with paragliders flying around, many bars with local food (lobster, shrimp, pargo fish, etc). It´s possible and recommended to spend at least an entire day there. Many leisure tourism options are presented to the visitors all time. In my opinion, the buggy thing is not worth on that beach, you rather rent a quadbike, much more fun! For buggies, Cumbuco beach has a more attractive option. Restaurants close to the big stair are more expensive. Tour guides will probably leave you at one of them... go for a short walk (5 minutes) and get same quality for half price and better service.Overall, I loved the city... it´s also perfect for long weekends. Night life, beach, good food... worth the visit!
Very busy beach, full of young people drinking......Not very much my style and what I am looking for on a beach, but the view is stunning!Beautiful beach!
friendly,i now live here and enjoy the small community and beautiful scenic areas, lovely warm waters and body surfing early in the morning, come and have a look
We loved Canoa. It is a small little place with great beaches and a bustling night life. The downtown area is super cute and it has a few good restaurants to go to. We really enjoyed the local "barracas" and it is a wonderful place to rest (or be active if you so chose to).
If you are in Fortaleza for a week, take an excursion and come to see Canoa Quebrada. It is 180 km from Fortaleza in a more or less good road (bad at near Canoa). It is a beach you must visit if you are for a week in Fortaleza. If you have only one day to spend, take an excursion unless you want to be about 5 hours driving. If you have more than a day and will sleep in Canoa, then it is better to rent a car and come. The views are very nice. If you are spending the weekend take the buggy ride. Take cash with you to eat lobster at one of the stops.
Never a dull moment here.Everyone can have fun here. Both locals and tourists, domestic and international put away their barriers and just roam in the sun and play on the beach. There are lots of regional food available.Fish is the preferred meat here.In addition to the beach area there are many bars and clubs in the village above.Lots of night life all going down in a laid back atmosphere.
If you have seen mor Branco you loose time going up to canon QuebradaStay on one of the previous beaches... Less popular and cheaper
The wind is less, similar to cumbuco but nicer city, and cleaner. its mostly ocean kitiing with one spot downwind river, can be crowded i f busy because it is not very big. Bring 10-15M kites
