There are no live gunfights or saloon shows like there used to be. Not sure what the new owners are going to do, but they better do it soon. Paid the $10/person for a chairlift ride to the top mostly out of curiosity and reliving memories of what used to be. Would not go again.
Looks like this whole place may be under new ownership. The place is getting run-down quickly! The souvenir shop was awful a few years back, but it seems like a lot of wasted empty space now, but have added an old time photos session. Guntown Mountain does not seem to be operating at all. The Haunted Hotel is however my favorite walk-through haunt that I have ever been through, with the exception of Kennywood's Noah's Ark. It it is a wild romp in the dark if you like nostalgic haunted houses & dark rides. It has the charm from the Bill Tracy 1960s era haunts with Charmin' Charles playing his piano in the window. It is NOT a modern blood and guts with spooks creeping up behind you type of thing. Probably the flip of a few switches turns the whole thing on! Sadly, the hotel's condition is noticeably deteriorating. You can get the blacklit golf as a combo with the hotel, but the golf is a joke really. They even have a No Refunds sign at the golf entrance. New owners better do something quick!
Guntown mountain is now open and will be through august (possibly longer) they now have a band and a new magician and escape artist on the weekend the magician and his daughter also run a magic shop in between shows. I can't wait to go again!
it seamed abandoned but the cave and gift shop are open no shows no rides not much to a ghost town wold be great to see it open again the right way
We stopped and took several photos of the haunted hotel and front of building, Staff did not even bother to greet us and suvenieers was over priced and looked like they were leftovers from the 20th century. White handles on spoons had turned yellow and the smell of smoked hams upon entering was very very strong.Olde time photos clothes were dirty and the pet odor was not for the weak of stomach either. Very run down and we did not go up to old west town or mini golf as it appeared we were only folks there. Grass in parking lot proved not a lot of use either. Time for it to say goodnight Gracie!!
Cool place to visit. We had one of the old fashioned pictures made. I have always wanted to do that. Prices very reasonable. Nice gift shop. The staff very friendly and helpful.
people were nice, prices were a bit high. I really enjoyed this location because it is close to my family. I would visit them again if I have the opportunity.
We arrived on Friday not open all weekend, we left on Wednesday, it was never opened onetime the entire 6 days we were there, I was disappointed that they no longer to any shows,
The only thing that you can do is pay $10 a person to ride the ski lift to the top of the mountain but nothing is opened. The place is literally a ghost town and so disappointing to see how run down the place is now. Great place to visit 20 yrs. ago...
We went there on Friday and were told that the ski lift only runs on Saturday and Sunday and it's $10 to ride to the top and see the town. However they no longer have gun shows or any kind of entertainment up there.
