Everything about this beach is great. White sand that is perfectly manicured, easy and abundant parking, clean restrooms and a nice snack stand. Also, loads of grills and tables for picnicking. Finally, easy spot for surf fishing at the pass.
A lovely family beach. Places for fishing, boating, benches for relaxing. There are plenty of parking spaces and bathroom facilities. The beach is lovely white beach. It's a great place to watch sunsets too.
It's worth my 1 hour ride. 7 miles of breathtaking beaches,Restaurants and shopsSundays there are vendors along the beach selling some beautiful Artwork, jewelry, plants, fruit, veggies and honey just to name a few. Local artists playing music.Walk a mile to bridge st to see some local shopsCoquina cafe is great ... On the beach.. Serving snacks, drinksAnd light fare. restrooms on site Parking is great and free
Seeing is believing.. Coquina IS the BEST beach on the Gulf and probably the Best beach in the USA ......by FAR!!!!! Beats Siesta Key hands down. Anna Maria Island Beaches Are THE BEST !!!!!
Large, clean white sand beach with beautiful turquoise water. Free parking with shade. There is a play area for children. Shaded areas for picnics with grills. Super clean bathrooms. Concession stand. Across the street is a nature area. Walking distance to shopping. Great family beach
Easy parking and nice restrooms. Did have picnic areas, etc., though we did not use them. Sand is silky and soft and we enjoyed a perfect sunset here.
Believe the reviews! We love our days at the beach and Coquina is our favorite SW Florida beach. Yes, we prefer it to Siesta Key. When you think there is nothing that could be done to improve this beach and its many amenities we discovered that this year a number of attractive individual change rooms had been constructed at strategic locations in addition to the three well maintained restroom facility areas. We appreciate the commitment of the citizens of Manatee County and Bradenton Beach to this gem of a beach. One of the best aspects of this beach is you won't find a high rise condo or beach bungalow in sight. The only negative I can think of is that arriving and departing this beach, which has three well marked access points, can result in some extremely slow bumper to bumper traffic (I mean really slow like over an hour to just go a few miles).By the way, Coquina Beach is at the southern end of Anna Maria Island - not Longboat Key! - though it is accessible and just over the channel from the northern end of LBK.
The beach is fantastic during warm months and this winter we visited during the Sunday Farm Market. What a great way to spend a few hours. Walk and buy some farm fresh foods and baked goods. We even did some last minute holiday shopping. The beach itself is fantastic.
Coquina Beach on Longboat Key is a dream! Wide beaches, ample free parking, easy access. This is truly a public beach- wide open spaces, many lifeguards, snack shack, bathrooms, outdoor showers to wash your feet- and it's free! Picnic areas with grills. Spend the day with your family. Beware that traffic can be a grind due to the lift bridge and touristy area to the north.
Huge beach with endless white sand. Ample free parking, change rooms, bathroom facilities and picnic areas.
