Since moving to Washington we decided to check out the southwestern edge of the state. We enjoyed the ride down and found out we must plan ahead for camping in a state campground as they are popular. We did find another campground and perused the entire area for a great 4 day weekend. I am never disappointed with this state and its facilities. Was here in 2013 on Labor day weekend.
Long Beach is a great little beach town. Main strip full of stores & restaurants. 2 great little second hand stores. Lots of easy beach access points. Nice boardwalk & bike trails along beach with lots of historical plaques and statues. We had a great time.
Long Beach, in Long beach, WA, is beautiful and expansive. We were just there on a balmy February day and enjoyed a nice long walk, looking for shells.
We have fallen in love with Long Beach this past year or 2014. We have visited three times, usually staying a few nights to go clam digging and do a little shopping. My husband and I go for a romantic vacation and we took the kids once as well. The ocean views are just astounding. Next time I'm bringing a kite.
With 28 miles of driveable beach, great restaurants and diverse, excellent housing options, Long Beach, WA is hard to beat!A perfect destination if you love to vacation with dogs! Just so much beach! And don't forget to check out the State Park and see the lighthouses! My third trip to LBW, now, my first as an adult. I can vouch that it is fun for all ages!
Long Beach has long been one of our favorite day trips. The beaches are clean, there are plenty of facilities (from benches and rest/picnic areas to public restrooms) and there is always something fun to do! Shopping is great whether you like antiques, art, candy and treats or shells and souvenirs. (We did most of our Christmas shopping there!)
My boyfriend and I took a spur of the moment weekend trip to Long Beach, and this was, by far, the most beautiful beach I have been to. We went in December, and it was very pleasant. The waves were beautifully dramatic, and taking an early morning bike ride to the beach allowed us to watch the fishing boats returning from a night at sea. The community of the town is just so welcoming. Everyone we met was super friendly, and the shops were fantastic. We excitedly await our return to Long Beach!
This is a Small town, less trendy than others, but with some good food and beautiful beaches. There are some nice shopping spots too!
The several blocks of storefronts are very much what you would expect in a beach town. It is fun to explore and you might find a few "treasures."
I grew up here, now I come to visit family and friends still love to be here. Great local seafood, good weather and just a great town/peninsula. If you haven't visited the area you must, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
