The course is in pristine condition..... The staff are friendly and the pro shop/ restaurant/ hotel are gorgeous..... Well design and kept.... We enjoyed the game and being with nature.... Very quiet and not so busy course.... Must see and try...
Beautiful course.... loved learning a little Native lore by way of "cave etchings" on each hole marker, picked up the brochure in the lodge to explain each one. Course was in great shape and we will play this one again.
Top notch for any caliber of golfer. The food is amazing, and the scenery both on and off the course is spectacular
I am a bit biased with this one, I am a Little Shuswap Indian Band member and am extremely proud of our investment of the Taking Rock Golf Course. The course shares the beauty of our reserve, however; my only concern is the effects the turf maintenance and upkeep has on our environment. I know our golf maintenance crew do their best to use the least harmful options available, I just hope technology can hurry up and find a completely environmentally friendly option to turf protection. I love the bbq kiosk out on the course as well as the beverage cart, these come in handy while your out there in the sunshine. The course is difficult enough for the experienced and offers a challenge to beginners. I really appreciate the option to receive private lessons from one of our pro golfers. Service is great as well. Hope you get a chance to visit.
This is a beautiful and well maintained course all throughout the season. The service is always good, staff are friendly and welcoming. The golf pro has made some great changes to enhance the course and service. If you're looking for a great golf experience with friendly courteous staff, and incredible views, then play at Talking Rock. Great value for your money and the best course in the area. The bannock in the restaurant is also scrumptious.
This course is relatively new to the area. It is expensive but well worth the play. There is one hole way up on the mountain which has an absolutely breath taking view of Little Shuswap and Chase.
Thank you for your review and I apologize that your visit was not to our usual standards. Periodically we will close the practice facility for maintenance and close beverage services on quiet afternoons. I am very apologetic that this was not directly brought to your attention on the day of your visit. We assure that this is an isolated incident and would very much enjoy the opportunity to exceed your expectations on your next visit. As for divots, we don't want our guests working while enjoying a visit :) , thus we do all of our divot repairs each morning. Hope to see you again soon!
We played twice on Oct. 3 and 4. Course was in great shape except that the greens are still recovering from the recent aeration which meant for a few missed putts. It's great to have a grass driving range with a large putting green with sand bunkers to warm up on.
I want to play this course over and over! Layout is surrounded by nature. Driving range is fantastic with lots of target flags. a large chipping green and a separate putting surface. 1st Tee marshal will provide solid tips. Greens are guards by well placed traps. highest hole on the course overlooks Little Shuswap Lake. Hole 18 finishes along the shores of Little Shuswap Lake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Proshop is loaded with merchandise.
Played this course for the first time in a few years. Its in great shape and has matured very well. Staff were great and provided good service (even brought our carts to our car when we arrived).Cart girl was always around when we needed her and the caddy shack at 10 was worth the stop for a great hot dog!!
