Being an Atlantic city customer for over 30 years I didn't know what to expect upon visiting Coconut creek. I must complement to the highest degree the professional attentionI got from every single employee I met. However not from the customers. Let me explain. First of all I play exclusively joker poker where 5 of a kind is the jackpot. In Atlantic City there are literally hundreds in every casino. Here at coconut creek there are only 5 and they are only in $1 denomination. I went to play these and noticed that all 5 were taken. However 2 of them were by ladies gabbing away and not playing at all. They did have a minimum amount of money in so I didn't interrupt them as I know there isn't anything you can do if they have cash in. After waiting a good 10 minutes I approached a slot hostess and explained what was happening. She totally agreed and approached the ladies saying that we have guests waiting to play. WELL, guess what? Their 2 husbands on either side looked back at my wife and I and started cursing us using the F word. I was surprised that the hostess didn't call security as they were also cursing her out. She merely walked away looking embarrassed. We just walked away quietly as I'm an 84 year old man and not looking for a confrontation. I just want to play quietly. Upon leaving the casino it was raining and my wife and I could not find our car. Soaking wet we went back to the casino and a very nice hostess called security for us and a young man on a bike located our car for us. The hostess said this happens every night. Now, when I got home to Fort Lauderdale I could not find my IPhone. Not being used to a land line phone I didn't know how to contact the casino so I called my daughter in NY for her to call. In 5 minutes she called me back saying that the phone WAS at the Casino and they were exceptionally nice and would hold it for me. I drove back close to midnight, got my phone, went to those 5 machines which were now empty and in 10 minutes I won $500. End of story
This is a nice casino but it's certainly not like being in Vegas or as large as some of the casinos out there. It's a decent size place and they seem to have plenty of parking (both self parking and valet too). We found it to be a bit smokey inside for us and didn't see too many non-smoking areas. They also had a few restaurants too.
best casino!best local lounge entertainment .. even has happy hour specials at Nectar Lounge.we go all the time !!machines have decent payoff
My review may be a bit tainted by the fact of my great success there. But, a good variety of games, friendly dealers/staff and mostly good, solid players. The casino is another thing entirely, though. If it were not for the fact that I would get out of breath and have to breathe MORE of the smoke-filled air, I would have run through the ground floor to the elevator up to the poker room.
First time to Coconut Creek Casino. No real "no smoking" section. You can see the signs and feel a little breeze walking through the area, but it is smokey everywhere. No one in our party came home with winnings at all. Disappointing indeed. 1st Street Deli was very good. Big portions, great service. Bring a heavy sweater, extremely cold all day in casino.
The casino itself is nice, much nicer since the remodel, although I did not see many payouts either on slots of at tables. However, the smoke tends to take away all the enjoyment from the place. They definitely need to improve their ventilation system. It seems much worse than the Hardrock. The staff also needs to loosen up and be a little more friendly. It seems as though most of the workers are miserable with their job. I much prefer the smoke free Isles (although only virtual tables there) or the Hardrock, which has a much more appealing interior, and loads of shops, entertainment and people watching areas.
I have gambled all over this country over the past 40 years. I have always felt welcomed and well comped. I play 50 dollar blackjack and my wife plays five dollar slots. After 5 years I have yet to be called by name, never received a dinner comp or a show comp and now have to pay 10 dollars for valet parking. On top of this you can not last very long if you are a non smoker.. I wish there was another game in town Unfortunately The Isles does bot have table games
My name is donna bianco I am there a lot year after year I have given more money there then I have won the one thing is I was there last night today I get a 10.00 free play in the mail that is just not right this is the only place I go I don't go to the isles I love it there but 10.00 free play not right after all the money I spend there I use to go to foxwoods all the time and twin rivers when I go there to visit I get more from them then I do from you and I only go there twice a year well sorry I had to write you to tell you all this but it's sad that ten dollar comp just sparked a nerve in me thank you !!!!!!
Coconut Creek is just as nice as the Hard Rock Seminole. Plenty of slot machines and table games. Friendly staff and multiple dining options. We ate at the Sunset Grill and had a terrific lunch. We would go back the next time we are in Florida.
Have a great time sharing in a fun filled evening in a beautiful inside and outside location in a warm great state of Florida and every where you turn outside it is just gorgeous .
