Thank you so much for visiting us, we're glad you had a great time!
First let me start off by saying this was my second time going and probably won't be my last if I have children in the future. The price for tickets are under valued in my opinion or maybe where we book we get a great deal. You get to feed animals interact with animals and drive thru to see more animal. Lions, tiger, bears, oh my... they had everything lol. I went to one like this in Dallas but had to show my girlfriend what a real drive through safari looks like. She really loved it. It was the icing to our Fourth of July. I recommend this to anyone who has children or animal lovers in the family. The place is located in the country so make sure you know where you going , the staff can help you find the location too.
We came in two cars, three generations, I think we all loved it equally. To be able to get this close to the animals is amazing. Loved the long horn, although we tossed good to him, we didn't want his horns near our car. The zebras were very friendly, I think the ostriches and Emus were maybe abit too aggressive trying to get food. It was hard to get them to move so you could drive, but this truly is something everyone should experience.
This was a great experience. Family loved the fact that ypu could feed and get close to the animals. The emu was a little aggresive along with the camel. But it was a neet experience and the kid got to feed a zebra and now they are facinated with them. You can go around as many times as you want and the feed was very reasonable.
I think I had as much fun as kids do in this place. The place is huge and animals come up to your car to get some food so you can pet some of them and get beautiful pictures. Definitely buy at least 2 bags of food per person, it's a long drive and the price is very reasonable ($1). Be aware that the emus will bite you!! I recommend closing the window when they approach or throwing the food far away. So the drive part of the zoo is incredible. The other section (petting zoo and cages) are not so great. On the petting zoo, there are way too many goats, so if you get distracted they surround you and they can get aggressive trying to reach out for food. I wouldn't take small kids in there. Well, I wouldn't go in there myself again when carrying food. If you're there just to pet, they're lovely. Some of the animals in cage look very sad, confined to a small space - such a sad view compared to all those animals walking around freely in that huge piece of land. The bear must be suffering with the Texas heat and one the wild cats and the tortoise are pacing back and forth as if they were very stressed to be confined that way - I really hope their conditions improve, since I usually choose this type of zoo instead of the traditional because it doesn't look cruel to the animals.
This is a well run facility with a large variety of animls to see. The animals are in very good condition and there a are lot of them. Animals are not shy and will stick their head right into your car. I recommend this to families with ALL ages. We will go back. Cost is $11/adult and $9/ child. Overall great time at Topsey!
This is an unforgettable place to visit! They have a great variety of animals that will come right up to your window for food and many of them will let you pet them. They also had a lot of baby animals that were super cute as well. However, be careful because some of the animal can be a bit more food aggressive than others and the camel is not afraid to stick his head right into your car and steal your bags of food! Overall, it was a great experience!
We are glad you had a nice time while visiting us. Next time keep a look out for the tiger in hisenclosure, he usually hangs out under the tree.
We appreciate your business, we hope to see you again soon!
We're so glad you had a good time while visiting us. We would love to get a giraffe but unfortunately we do not have the funding to do so. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
