There are no sights here .it is nowhere near stores or any place parents can be near by .i found it to be very costly
Expensive. Can get very busy. It is rather dated and the water is tepid and often cloudy. Even when there are a billion kids there there is NEVER a queue at the toilet. Says it all.
Spent the day at Splashdown yesterday....thank goodness for goodfriends and company because the condition of the slides and pool was terrible. The admission charge was steep ($24.99) considering everyone had to pay whether you were sliding or not. The icecream shop was poorly ventilated and the freezers couldn't even keep the ice cream frozen. I heard one person return their cone saying it tasted like throwup. Yikes! The pools were dirty and cloudy. Whatever filtration system they have was clearly not working. The water park area was dated and paint was chipping off the concrete. There were no kids playing here at all.The staff didn't seem concered about safety or maintenance when I told them one of our kids told me that a slide had a split in it and all the water was falling through the crack. It made the bottom part of the slide dry and they could slide on it. The staff member just shugged and said yeah we know about that already. The slide remained open. The top of the river raft staircase stunk like urine! I couldn't bring myself to ride the slide after smelling it.The change rooms were disgusting, again smelling like urine. The curtains used to cover the changroom openings were ripped and covered in mildew. The bathroom area was dirty and needed a good hose down! They do have a nice grass area to sit thank goodness because that is where I spent the entire day. I made my daughter shower twice when we came home.
The pool and hot tub were super dirty. Cloudy and mirky. The hot tub wasn't even hot. I couldn't slide down the slides--I was stuck. The gelcoat on all the slides that make it slippery is all worn off. Never again! I am glad I didn't pay full price for this as I used a coupon. Great place to go if you want to catch a disease.
Used to take the kida there once a year, only because we got free passes. Far too expensive for a whole family. The facilities are pretty old and outdated, and not too clean. Would far rather take a couple of days and go to cultus lake.
Just came back from my first time at the park. After reading some of the reviews on here I was a bit apprehensive as I wondered about cleanliness and upkeep. My expectations were exceeded. The facility looked great, the lineups were not long, the kids had a great time on the tube rides, the water wasn't too chilly, and there was a hot tub for adults. My ratings are: Service 9Cleanliness 8.5Value 9Fun for young kids? Yes.
I went there this weekend it was soo bad and dirty bad service and disgusting food slides sucked my dad felt bad for me and my cousin so he is taking us to cultus water park on thursday.
Very pricey and run down. But the children loved it. Be sure to bring your own food and stay a while to get your monies worth. Plus the line ups can get crazy long.
Good place to take your kids, starting to show it's age, but clean and tidy. Kids had a great time and we enjoyed it too!
Disappointed with the service - the staff were slow and unattentive. Won't visit here again, though I have visted others with far better service.
