An excellent museum in two 1915-style buildings constructed by the Japanese during their occupation of Manchuria. One building houses a brilliantly displayed range of Chinese and other Asian ceramics and the famous mummies from Central Asia collected by the brilliant Otani Kozui. Two of the six mummies of the Otani Collection are here. Also worth looking at are the jade and cloisone collections. The other building contains a very good display on the local area and one on the Silk Road - However few of the labels are in good English.
