Spiritual.. When in Tagaytay, Take a visit to Tierra de Maria, A place, very easy to find, where you can pray amidst your vacation
The place was small but it was best for praying for your intentions. Inside was so solemn you can't hear any sounds aside from the one they playing by their sound system. Best for internalization.
While I enjoy any place that allows for prayer and devotion to Jesus and Our Lady...several things at this shrine gave me some concern and made me wonder if it was completely orthodox. Inside there was a great emphasis on making wishes and providing donations. There were also many things for sale outside including materials that spoke about 'Chi' or energy and this certainly isn't consistent with Christian teaching. So I definitely encourage people to take the opportunity for prayer and reflection on Jesus and Our Lady but perhaps don't look for too much more at this shrine.
I love the place so peace and quiet^_^I feel so blessed and at peace after visiting this place. Would love to come back here every time to visit Tagaytay.
Not worth a special trip unless you're particularly devoted. However, if you're driving along the Calamba road you may as well stop as it's still interesting to non-believers. Devotees take it all very seriously and it's nice to see people getting comfort from holding Mama Mary's hand and praying. On the upper floors all the days of the year are shown along with their patron saints...an interesting read.
Devotion to the Virgin Mary is very common to Roman Catholics and this attraction near the Picnic Grove was one of the most visited not only by devotees but also by non-believers. There's a tiny chapel hidden at the back of the huge statue of Our Lady of Manaoag, a quiet place where you can sit and relax for a few minutes while saying your prayer.
A very solemn place to pray. Its conveniently located, easy to find. Parking unfortunately is along the road
The statue outside of the church is nice, but there is absolutely nothing to see inside of the church! There are a lot of holy looking "dolls" and a giant jesus on the cross. But it's just tacky and very catholic in a not so impressive or interesting way. The church room is literally just a room. If you removed all the relics it wouldn't look like a church... If you are forced to go just see it from the outside and go to the top and enjoy the view.
inside the chapel will see very nice Our lady of manoag statues where you can pray and make a wish. very relaxing ambiance to talk to our LORD. But the outside view is not so pleasant. The famous & very big replica of our lady of Manoag outside is no longer appealing, its faded already & very old. Hope It can be renovated & make it more appealing because it is our Mother's Image.
If you are not catholica, this place is not worth a visiting. Just small room with a huge cross and people in line waiting to kiss the cross.
