We fished from shore and caught huge northerns--bigger than we see in Minnesota. Even caught fish off the closed, washed out roads. Unbelievable!
every thing was great cought many fish of many veriteys
Me and some friends borrowed a friends boat for the day and just went out and floated on the lake. We were able to swim and just have fun. You can go around the lake all day and not see the same thing twice.
We visited Devil's Lake at the end of June. While the lake is picturesque, there really isn't much to do. There is a casino and some hiking trails but we did not see any boats or water activity there.
The surrounding areas are beautiful and the fishing is absolutely world-class, along with the hunting. But it can be hard to enjoy if you're not the right shade of skin. Most of North Dakota is Caucasian so you don't get the friendliest service if your a little darker than usual. Minorities, prepare to be stared at.
We stayed on a yurt in the state park, it was very clean and the showers were the best we have ever used in any state park, national park or LOA type establishment. The town it self was very quiet but all seemed friendly enough, there wasn't much to do but we were only on a 1 night stop so it didn't matter much.
people are very friendly. But I am bios since I live her. Great place to raise a family and to visit for a quiet relaxing vacation. Planty of hunding and fishing to be had in this neck of the woods.
liked most everything other than the 10000000 diffrent spots to fish,,,
It is a big area to fish but if you know where to go you will get non stop fishing action. My husband, brother and our friends had a blast. We are heading back in a few weeks!
One word "drity" was not a clean looking town. I can't say we spent a lot of time here the people were not the friendliest. The lake though was huge
