We just got back from our 3-hour advanced tour. Tim was our guide and it was incredible. We usually snowmobile in the Midwest, and this was quite different. The trail riding was fun, and then we went into the powder. It was 3-4 ft. deep in parts and Tim was an excellent guide. He worked with our ability level and was very helpful. He also stopped us at strategic times to tell us about the old history of the mines. Ask him about the Doc Holliday and Jesse James stories. He took us up to 13,000 ft. and pointed out all of the mountain peaks around. The view was worth the price alone. If you are advanced, this is the ride for you. Lots of powder riding and excellent trails. Tim was very helpful and he can tailor the advanced tour to your groups specific needs. We are coming back next month and we are requesting Tim again. You start out by going to their check in spot in Dillon. Once you sign in and pay, you drive your own vehicle out the base camp. We went about 15 miles past Copper Mountain to the base camp. It was very easy to find and he was very helpful. We've been on a few other guided tours, and they do not go up to that altitude. It truly was incredible. We recommend High Country Snowmobile Tours for anyone looking for tours.Greg, Zac, Phi
The people and customer service at this place are absolutely terrible. We made reservations online and We spent over $400 on snowmobiling. We left an hour and a half early as instructed and due to the weather being so bad we were about 15 minutes late, instead of understanding or working with us the front desk lady "Rachael" very rude informed us we could be put on a waiting list or go home. There was nothing she could do an she wasn't going to refund us at all. We were furious and she told us we need to take accountability and its all our faults. ( even though the roads were at a dead stop cause of the snow and ice ) so we told her give is our money or we will get the police. Then after that she was trying to be nice and say she could give $25 back a piece and maybe we could reschedule. But we told her no we had already waisted our money and time. This place is the definition of a rip off. They were mean and insensitive and do not care about anything but the the money. We spent $400 and got NOTHING out of itb this ruined our trip. Do not go here. Wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.
We were a party of six and really had an incredible experience with them. They were kind enough to let us switch our tour 2 times because we wanted to be out in good weather so that we could see all the scenery which was incredible. We did the snowmobiling and snow tubing package. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating, our guide was awesome and we had a great day! Highly recommend.
We had an absolute blast out there. Ask for Tim as your guide he was awesome. Definitely going to come back again.
They didn't honor my resort discount which they advertised. We did run the two hours, but only put on 12 miles of flat trails, I was hoping for a more scenic ride, showing off the mountain views. Everyone was very nice. My sled had 7800 miles on it and was probably 10-12 years old. Disappointing adventure for us.
I'm a local here in Breck and had some friends and family in town! Other than skiing,, what would make a fun day in the mountains?? Snowmobiling and sledding!! We had a large group and High Country was willing to take us all! They reassured the younger ones and were very thorough in teaching the inexperienced riders. Of course in a large group,, someone forgets gloves,, not a problem!! They had some to offer! They had hot chocolate and coffee as well. From check in to check out the whole experience was Amazing! They were patient, professional and full of knowledge about the surrounding area! Tubing was a blast as well! We highly recommend it! Everyone keeps talking about the good time they all had and its something they will be coming back to do again! Thank you High Country for helping to show my friends and family how fun and friendly new experiences can be! Ill definitely recommend you all!
Recently went on a 2 hour guided group ride.We spent $124.00 per sled. We started with a 20 minute orientation which was part of the 2 hours. The sleds were 10 years old and of course one broke down. It was a real disappointing ride and I dont recomend them.
Let me start off by saying - yes, it is slightly inconvenient to drive so far to the trail... BUT, they more than make up for it with their friendliness and enthusiasm! My daughter is 7 and was a little hesitant to say the least. She was pretty scared and was not too excited about the prospect of the adventure. Mike was our guide and he was more than patient with her and between the two of us, we were able to coax her though it. He made the whole adventure fun. i would highly recommend High Country Tours, we had a blast!
We decided to take a day off from skiing to do some snowmobiling. It was an awesome day and we were very happy with our decision. It was late November so very early in the season so we were one of their first groups out. We had most of our gear for skiing but they had everything that you would otherwise need. If needed they furnished snow suits, Boots and Helmets. Tim our guide was awesome. He asked about our abilities and made a trip to match them. He also asked what we would like to see and was constantly checking with us on what we wanted to do. We stopped at a very scenic spot to enjoy a nice sandwich lunch. We also stopped many times to get pictures of the scenery. Snowmobiles all ran great with no mechanical problems. All of us really enjoyed out day of snowmobiling with Tim. Thank you!!
I liked it our group was big so it took longer than the allotted time but I loved every bit... Ps there was a long wait before it started
