The Wolf and Wildlife Center does an excellent job of showing visitors just what terrible stewards humans are of our world. Our guide was the owner who is beyond passionate. The stories of her wolves, coyotes and foxes make you shutter if you care at all about the environment. Humans are so greedy and so destructive. The inhabitants here are very fortunate unlike many of their kin. The Center's displays are well done and well maintained. The entrance fee is not excessive when you consider the overhead that is required to keep the center open and operating.
We drove in to the property listening to howling wolves conversing & socializing with each other. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The facility and grounds are immaculate, pristine & well-maintained. The animals were so impressive! There were wolves, coyotes and fox. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining while engaging and educating the group. I left with an entirely new respect for the animals of the wild and the a blance of nature. I would highly recommend!
the best place you can go to learn about our endangered animals...the staff is great and very knowledgeable....very clean place also....try the alpha tour.to touch and be kissed by a wolf is something you will never forget.if you are planning a trip to colorado please come by the center..you will have an experience of a life time
My wife and I took her parents to the feeding tour this afternoon. Wow! What an experience! We live very close to the Wolf and Wildlife Center but have never had the opportunity to visit. We didn't know what we were missing. We'll be taking all our visitors from now on. It was about 4 degrees F this evening, we were freezing but it was worth it. We got to meet all the wolves and watch them enjoy their steak and chicken dinners. The staff and tour guides were very pleasant and knowledgeable too. Thank you for a great time!
Had the best time!!! The wolves were beautiful and the staff was great. We did the ultimate Alfa experience. Worth every penny!!!!!
Be shocked and ashamed, America, at the level of wolf killings and lack of protection for these noble creatures. When you learn about the hugely widespread destruction of wolves, and the ongoing cruelty, as well as genetic modifications in the name of greed, you will be shocked...and if you are not, then I pity you. Do the tour and learn about the different breeds and their habitats. Meet wolves that have been rescued and see how they do bond with humans. Most people will feel the same way about wanting to preserve and protect wild animals, and the message is...get out there and do something to change the current state of affairs. The tour was very interesting and informative...great work, this wonderful organisation.
Myself, my husband and my young daughter recently moved to Colorado Springs. For my husband's birthday, we decided to visit the Wolf & Wildlife Center to see what it was like. Great decision! Our your guide Mia took us on an hour tour of the center, and was full of information about the wolves, coyotes and foxes. We learnt some really interesting facts, and were shocked at the amount of hunting that goes on. Would definitely recommend anybody in the area to visit.Worth noting that there are no food facilities or running water in the toilets, but this didn't affect our enjoyment whatsoever!
This place is amazing! The tour is great! All the tour guides are friendly, enthusiastic, and very well informed. You get to see all the wolves and hear a little history on them which was very fascinating. I paid extra and got a photo shoot with two wolves, Tala and Navi. It was my lifelong dream to meet a wolf and I was not disappointed. I had a blast petting the wolves and feeding them meat treats. They were adorable and a lot of fun! I could have hung out with them all day. Definitely worth your time and money. They also had really cute foxes which you can also do a photo shoot with, which may be more popular with young kids. Awesome place go check it out it's well worth your time and money!
We had a wonderful time touring the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center!!! Not only was it educational, but fun as well. The wolves, foxes, and coyotes were beautiful and seemed to enjoy seeing us as much as we enjoyed seeing them! This facility is doing an amazing job educating the public about wolves in the wild, as well as in captivity. I hope to be able to visit again!!!
Visit this place just once and I promise you will walk away forever changed. Educational without a doubt, it also touches your heart when you hear the stories of these beautiful wolves, coyotes, and fox. You leave with a new understanding, a deeper compassion, and a need to tell others about what you saw and heard and learned. This is one of those places that should be on your bucket list to visit. My two teenagers, 27 year old son and I all went to visit this place for the first time last night. We can still hear the haunting howls of the wolves in our hearts and minds. We will definitely go back again and tell everyone we know that this is a place they have to see....and feel!Don't miss it!
