The food is simple steak, chop, chicken, and seafood but always fresh and well prepared if not too imaginative. Good soups and reasonable prices. Nice to dine and watch the golfers. There are no tennis courts or a swimming pool; ergo we did not join.It is a Ross course.
The price is good for the course. It is always an enjoyable day to play golf at the Dunedin Golf and Country Club.
How can you not LOVE for the price? I play here whenever I am visiting my family in Dunedin about twice a year. If I lived there, it would be my course of choice. It is well layed out, very challenging and thoroughly enjoyable. We appreciated the marshals moving folks along and every one was friendly. I read through the negative reviews, yikes....you must have had a bad day to start. It is also refreshing that the general manager actually reads the reviews on TripIt and responds. The waitstaff are friendly and efficient. Can't wait till next year to come back and play!
As a local golf pro I can't say anything but good things about this golf course. I try and play here as much as I possibly can. I send my students out to this course as much as possible because the layout is incredible. People don't realize how much history this golf course has. It is excellent. Some of golfs greatest players from years and years plaid on this golf course. The layout is phenomenal and and the conditions are always superb. The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. I would recommend this course to ANYBODY
This is a classic old Florida course put together by a great designer (Donald Ross). The fairways were plenty wide but if you strayed from them the trees were quite punishing. Unfortunately the course needs some help. On many of the holes there was little to no grass on large portions of the fairways. I fear that they probably need to spend some big bucks to get it back in the condition that it deserves. The food in the clubhouse was very good!
I play golf in Tampa roughly once per year and rarely get off the Innisbrook resort as they have some wonderful courses there. What a great decision it was to try something different. Absolutely loved the course and layout. Greens were superb and the history was an added bonus. Staff were friendly and the food was very good - excellent value for money. The whole group had a memorable day and personally it was a golf day I will never forget. Oh I forgot to mention the green fees were ridiculously low. Great stuff Dunedin !!
This is one of my favorite courses in the area. The guys in the clubhouse house very nice and helpful. The course is always in good shape. The price is fair. Call ahead for a tee time though, as it is busy during the height of the season.
Short, but challenging, interesting layout. Generous sized fairways, fast but true greens. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Great value for the price!
Donald Ross layer out a terrific test of golf here. Looks easy, however, like many of his other courses more challenging than it looks.
Dear CCFirst of all I would like to thank you for your recent response. I do believe you were unfair in your assessment. Our Club is made up of large percentage of women and Seniors. We are extremely friendly to all players that play our course. The day you played we accommodated an 8am shotgun.and a large Rotary Tournament. immediately following. You were a bit upset at the fact that you were not given free range balls yet our range was closed due to rain the night before. Our rangers are on the course to make sure play moves along. You finished in 4:45 minutes well past the standard 4 hour rate, yet you complained about our staff pushing you, that is there job CC. I' m sure anyone behind you appreciated the encouragement for fast play. Not sure if you understand that golf courses are trying to make a profit, and 5 hour rounds are not conducive for that. It is unfortunate that you felt compelled to write a negative review. We are friendly and we offer a great course that 99.9 % of the people play here appreciate and our edict for a 4 hour round is appreciated by everyone that enjoys a golf, except youSincerelyRon RandolphGeneral Manager
