Easy to get by tram, my wife and two boys went, was great, makes you realise what a huge club dortmund is, good tour but go on website to look for English speaking tours, they are weekends and odd week days I think, we had german lady but was still worth going, museum good fun too, interesting to see changing rooms, press areas, out on pitch side was awesome after walking out tunnel, truly breath taking, loved setting in the dug out taking it all in, can only imagine the atmosphere when full, I'm going to be back one day for a match, good fan store if very pricey, cafe upstairs and a little enclosed footy pitch, my lads loved this, well worth the visit.
It's a must once in the life time! If you're a big football fan (especially for Borussia Dortmund), you should go and visit there! If not, it's fine, Signal Iduna Park is also the biggest football stadium in Germany. Just go and check it out.
All the fans made us so welcome, the stadium was clean, the view was great- the Yellow Wall is mesmerising! Food and beer cheap and the atmosphere continues after the game. Well worth a trip to a game
chaos getting into the stadium; some crowd of people!once in- excellent!!The noise, colour and atmosphere-1st class......
Went here last weekend for the derby against Schalke- the atmosphere is like nothing you get in the UK. The noise was deafening from start to finish, and the yellow wall in the south stand is a great sight. Fantastic experience made better by a Dortmund win!
The home of football!! Really big stadium with an incredible atmoshper within! One of the best in Germany and probably in the world :)
We booked this although we knew from TripAdvisor and looking on the Internet that it would be amazing, nothing can prepare you for the atmosphere inside the stadium! We had tickets in the away end and was standing aswell which was quality!! You can't give the wall justice in words is an amazing sight, good food and beer on the terraced, can't wait for the next trip!
This stadium is absolutely amazing. I you are a supporter of the home team or not you won't find another stadium in Europe with an atmosphere just as this place. Not easy to get tickets but absolutely worth the visit. 25000 Fans in the standing section will sing and cheer their team for 90+ minutes, absolutely amazing.
I took my kids here for a surprise visit in June 2014 and they were absolutely speachless... The stadium is easily accessible, huge and has an impressive stand, the "Südtribüne", the biggest of its kind in Germany. We went into the museum (Borusseum) and enjoyed a tour of the stadium. It was expensive (some 15 €/ 10 € for kids, this is the BIG TOUR, the small tour is 5 € cheaper and 30 minutes shorter), but took well over 2 hours and you got to see every corner of the place, including the dressing rooms, the pitch and mixed zone. You got to see films, where the actual players from the team presented certain parts of the stadium. The guide was an original from the region, with a great sense of humor. Buying souvenirs after the tour was a bit disappointing, as a lot of things were sold out (it was the end of the season), but they really took a lot of effort to find the requested articles in other fan shops around the city. Very big plus for such helpful and engaged emplyees. All in all it was a pricy, but very touching and impressive experience. I have seen other stadiums (Barcelona, Munich, Madrid,...) but this tour had most heart of them all. I pull my hat to this club and how they treat their fans.
Visited Dortmund for the derby against Schalke. What an experience! The stadium was absolutely rocking and in full swing for the whole 90 minutes and continued afterwards. Ive visited a few stadiums around the world, Old Trafford mainly (being a United fan), San Siro, Wembley (new and old), Anfield and Olympiastadion just to name a few. This stadium blew them all away. Absolutely incredible. My only negative comment would be that the store is pretty bland. There isnt a lot of merchandise, theres not a lot of selection where the clothing (training tops, jackets, etc) is concerned, and even if you do find something you like, the only sizez available are Small, 3XL, 4XL or 5XL. As a visitor to the stadium I must say I was quite disappointed. I already have the home jersey so dont need to buy that. I ended up buying a scarf and that was it. I was quite happy to spend a bit of money in there but there wasnt anything worth buying.Other than that, a minor blip in an otherwise exceptional experience.
