My boys are 10 and 8 and have either outgrown most playgrounds or are too big to be around the toddlers at most playgrounds. So while visiting their grandparents, we checked it out. With a 5-12 year old sign, it's clearly for older kids. They had a great time. The only reason we didn't stay longer was because the heat and not enough shade. We will be back.
My kids, 2 & 6 LOVED Kids' Castle! We went with friends of ours (with a 4 & 6 yo) and they stayed for almost 2 hours! There is so much to see and explore. Though my 2 yo was very intimidated at first (he did have a brief crying fit when he couldn't find his way out), he got warmed up and convinced mommy to come exploring with him. I think it'll be even better for his age group when the Pirate Ship is completed! You WILL loose sight of your kids, and maybe for a while, BUT there is only one entrance/exit, so if they haven't passed you they're still exploring! The bathrooms are across the parking lot, so make sure they go first! I'm so pleased that this was FREE!
The title says it all. A huge wooden castle with slides, ropes, steps, inclines, netted floors. My kids adored this place when they were little.Very, very cool.
Wow what an amazing experience. It's a must visit, everyone in the family enjoyed including e adults. There is so much to do the abstacle course, winding 3/4 story tall slides, climbing, you name it and the castel has it at some level. Very convenient parking, restrooms, we even took a nice walk around the park, it's failed large and we noticed many were bicycling, jogging. Ice cream truck in the parking lot was a real treat !!!
So thankful we all live in the world of Internet and GPS, so finding this hidden gem in the quaint town of Doylestown isn't that hard after all.Our 7- and 4-year olds got overwhelmed at its size at first, perhaps thinking it's more like a real castle or a big house and not a playground. But their hesitation went away once they mingled with fellow kids who were having a blast exploring every nook and cranny of this wonderful structure. We parents even had smiles on our faces the whole time we were there, plastered even longer because of the 38°F temperature with blowing winds at the time (1st week of November). We will surely be back most likely next Spring! A beautiful playground that needs to be cherished and properly used by everyone.
Great place to go with the family. The castle is really for kids about 9 and younger any older and they are too tall. But there is basketball and soccer fields there as well. It has a bathroom and water fountain with picnic tables
Took three grand daughters today, ages 10, 7 and 4 and they all had a ball! Impressive playground in scenic Doylestown with picnic pavilions, nature paths and huge rolling fields. We packed a lunch and ate there and even the genius ice cream truck came by. Lots of kids and benches for the adults, a little hard to keep an eye on the kids sometimes. Only gave 4 stars because the bathrooms are really far from the castle and they were pretty gross. And we got there around noon so I can't imagine how they look by closing time which is dusk.
Kids' Castle gives kids a chance to play in a structure not readily found in the backyard. Sharing, getting to know new kids and just having fun exploring and challenging yields lots of long lasting good memories.
Kids castle is fantastic for little kids and big kids (up to 12 maybe). Very clean and well cared for as well as just being one of the most unique climbing structures around. There is a lot to do so plan on spending at least an hour there, more if you want to walk, bike or rollerblade on the path across the street.
I dreamt of a playground like this as a child, I can only imagine how it looks through the eyes of one. It's a HUGE structure, and thanks to 100% private donations for new renovations, our kids can enjoy it for many more years to come. A beautiful, clean park with a little creek in the back where my kids always seem to get soaked. They love it!
