Like all parks, it is beautiful too; full of wonderful trees in mid town, clean........................................
I and some colleagues strolled through this park one Friday afternoon. It was clean, well laid out, and had a nice vantage point to see the snow capped mountains in the background. Several groups of Tajiks wanted to practice their English (including school kids) and we had a nice time chatting with them. It was a beautiful afternoon and the air was clear and crisp. The park seemed quite safe and there were a number of families in the park, enjoying the day. While Dushanbe is not an overcrowded city, the traffic can be noisy and somewhat confounding, so a break from the main streets might just be what a traveler needs. Recommend for a nice afternoon or morning respite.
Clean and boring place for visiting it at March. Be careful with making pictures. Nice point of view at presidential palace and Mejlis building.
Central park in Dushanbe. Lovely gardens and fountains, lots of space so although there were quite a few people, it didn't feel crowded.
We passed through this place mid morning and it was quiet (although hot) lots of clean wide paths lots of flowers and colours. Plenty of fountains all in all quite a nice place.I believe it comes alive in the evening when the heat subsides.
The park is a nice peaceful place to wander in central Dushanbe. Many families were also wandering through when I was there. All seemed to be having a delightful time. There is a nice statue of Rudaki, the poet, and the world's tallest flagpole is nearby (see photos). The flowers were in full bloom when I visited. They seemed to be well cared for. However, some of the grassed areas needed a bit of trimming. And some tiles needed replacement or repair. Nevertheless, it is well worth a visit if you are in Dushanbe.
Lovely trees. Great central location. A must visit in Dushanbe. You can also bike. Central in Dushanbe.
It is a new, lovely and safe park in the centre . In summer it is a true oasis in the very hot Dushanbe, with plenty, fountains, trees and well designed flowery areas. Enjoy cooling ice creams and some small foods from local vendors ( but is no restaurant in the park). It is relaxing to stroll in the evening when all fountains are highlighted. Apparently families and couples seem find this park the most pleasant area in the city ( especially that the Park replaced chaotic that occupied this area before). The park is located in the heart of Dushanbe, and surrounded by different interesting buildings like the Palace of Nation (Presidential Palace for official meetings), National Library (biggest library in Central Asia). In the centre there is Ismoili Somoni Monument.
It is a nice place to see people of Dushanbe. It is a big garden but not that beautiful. It is full of youngtsters during day and with families in the evenings.
Wonderful place for long walks, especially when the weather is fine. We spend two months in Dushanbe and this park was our favorite. With lovely flowers and trees around, very friendly atmosphere, fountains, cleanness, it's a great place to spend one's time in Dushanbe.
