First time vacation to Eagle River with the family. Wife's birthday! She wanted to try paddle boarding. Rented two SUP boards. Great service from the guys at Wildwood. They loaded them in my truck, gave a tutorial on how to use them. When I returned them, I was impressed that they remembered me and that it was for my wife's birthday, figuring how many people they see in a day I did not think they would remember. They made everything easy & fun. I was in & out in 10 mins after returning them. Definately would recommend paddle boarding as well as renting from Wildwood Outdoor AdventuresS.Bell

Maureen we are happy that you enjoyed the paddle boards and are very sorry like we stated in the office for you not getting an adjustable paddle. That should have not happened. If you would have let us know about the paddle not being able to be adjusted we would have taken care of it right away. Sorry you that you did not agree with the $30 equipment damage charge, but you did break the blade of the paddle off and tore the pad much worse than you described. Replacement fees were $250 on our end to put that product back into our fleet. So we really felt we were being far. As for you feeling that we Nickel & dime you on the hauling equipment I am sorry but we did go over that with you prior to you paying so you did know about it and we have to replace those often so our customers have good quality equipment to haul the boards with thats why we only charge $1.00/day for each item. We also honored rental pricing that was three years old due to your campground having old brochures. We feel we tried to be fair for both sides. Sorry it didn't work out.

Wildwood Outdoor Adventures is a small mom and pops business. It is our goal to make sure that everyone who comes through our door leaves haply. We are sorry that Denny1234 feels this way about our business and we definitely did not intend or want an outcome like this, but there are two sides to every story. Wildwood Outdoor Adventures (WOA) rents SUPs for as little as $25/Day or $175/Week for Kids and $30/day or $210/week for Adults. We do have many different options of SUPs and pricing does range. Upgrades are available by customers choice only. We deliver & Pick-up, charges vary depending on distance. We are always happy to take the time and go over all details with you, weather it be pricing, instructions, SUPs do's and don'ts, delivery, and any other questions you may have. When we showed up to pick up the Expoy SUPs they were laying out on concrete(Not a good combo with an epoxy board). We where surprised to see this after giving this group a SUP orientation. Prior to moving these boards from the concrete to our vehicle we did take pictures of the SUPs due to the significant damage done. The damage done was NOT the result of normal usage. We could not send the boards back out into our rental fleet until they were repaired due to us not wanting to water log the SUP's which would ruin them indefinitely (1 board was completely damaged unable to be repaired). Damage fees are based on time and material. The damage fees that we charged to Denny1234 was less than what it actually costed WOA. Denny also had stated that WOA had charged their card for more than what was agreed upon. This is however not true, Denny did not want to pay the tax on what they agreed upon and disputed their charge. As for the fee for weeds as indicated by Denny1234, we do not charge for that, we instead tried to educate Denny NOT on Weeds, but Eurasian Watermilfoil which is an Invasive species that we want to make sure does not get transferred from lake to lake. Assumptions were also made by Denny1234 that we scoped out their home, boats, water toys and figured they were an easy mark, which is NOT true. We as individuals and also being a small family owned business would never do that. We strive on having returning customers not mad ones. We have learned from this experience and due to WOA wanting to avoid any other confrontations like this in the future we have brought a fleet of SUPs in that are high performance, lightweight, and very durable SUPs for 2014 called our Glide Series. We also have our Plastic boards readily available. So please ask for either the Glide series or our plastic line if you think your group may be rough on our rentals. This way we can all share a great experience! Don't worry, if you are an avid SUPer and are looking to try some of our Top end SUPs we still have them and are happy to share them with you. We like our equipment to be taken care of so all of our customers can enjoy great products! Hope to see you soon on your next adventure to Eagle River, WI!

Love the feeling of shopping here. I could have lingered longer. I ended up finding things I didn't know I needed and am really happy with our new paddles, both Kayak and SUP. They do a very nice job here and we wish them a world of success! They are our go-to spot for small watercraft. We got out SUP boards here the year before too.

We visit with our Family every Summer. Many animals including deer, goats and such are in interactive areas where petting is comfortable and encouraged. Many other displays are typical zoo habitats where safety dictates. Not to be missed is the walk-in "Budgie Bird" experiance where hundreds of colorful parakeets fly around landing on you to munch on sticks of birdseed you purchase for $1. Kids love it and make sure to bring the camera !Also a tradition for us is buying a bottle of "Bear Beer" for feeding to the brown and black bears through their fence enclosure. The bears love it (not sure what it is !) and appreciate the treat on a warm day. I think it is $1.50 a bottle from a vending machine adjacent to the exhibit.Lots of free parking and places to visit inside. Make sure you keep an eye on the goats ! They will munch on anything you have dangling and have been known to steal treats from your baby strollers.Great gift shop at the end to visit to find end of the trip memories.Nice destination !
