This was my first time actually going to a winery and tasting the wine. The staff was friendly and answered any questions I had. The place was beautiful and the wine was delish. I will definitely be back!
We met the owner/founder Rose who served us with beautiful wine in a lovely setting. Spent a really fun afternoon there and although the weather didn't allow us to be outside, it was an excellent way to spend our time.
Had a full wine tasting, barbeque dinner and music for easy listening and dancing.Good value for event. Plan to do it again next year.
Wines wre just average, service for the tasting felt rushed and not well presented. This could be just the person who served us, however. The grounds are nice; suggest you go around the tasting building and hike back thru the vineyard and enjoy the great view from the top of the hill.
Went for a tasting and tour. The woman was not happy that my husband was not tasting. I like reds and they had only a few. She hurried the tasting. I was not impressed and decided not to buy and she was very annoyed. I was not given a tour. The gift shop was cute-its all in a converted barn but the entrance is not well marked either. Unless you are buying -they hurry you and it was not what I expected
I was here with a group of women, and this was a highlight of our weekend. I'd love to go back. The ambiance in the tasting room and adjacent rooms is really great -- wooden and rustic decor. When we first arrived at the vineyard, our group headed to the counter to do a tasting. The two women who greeted us were really sweet and friendly. I am horrible with names, but one had a small dog and the other was originally from California. They were very patient about the fact that we were a little disorganized and all paying separately. As the women were pouring our wines, a few couples started trickling in. The women were intentional about saying hello to everyone that came in and told them that another tasting would start soon, while still not making us feel rushed at all. The woman with the dog started another tasting and the woman from California stayed with us. She chatted with us about how she came to live in the Luray area, and she spoke very highly about the owner of the vineyard. It says a lot when an employee does that. After the tasting, she gave us tips on how to make mulled wine using the little sachets they sell at the vineyard. We purchased several bottles of their blush wine (I think it was called Fiesta) and a few of the sachets. We stuck around for awhile and split a bottle of wine (I think it was the Blanc) in another room, which was very comfortable. The wine was around $15 for the bottle.Definitely stop in here if you are in the area!
We've enjoyed the winery mostly because of the friendly server. We liked several if the wines. They always end their tasting with something fun like mulled wine.
Wow I felt rushed. Even before we were finishing the wine -they were ready to fill it up with the next. I could understand if there were fols behind us but there weren't. I only found one wine I persionally liked one out of their sixteen. Cute gift shop. Friendly staf....just were in a hurry for no apparent reason.
We stopped for the wine tasting. It is a beautiful area, the wine store is surrounded by vineyards and the front deck is covered with grape vines that had grapes on at this time of the year. We enjoyed our wine tasting. You can enjoy a glass or a bottle of wine out on the front deck that overlooks the vineyard. Beautiful and serene setting, nice place to enjoy some wonderful wines. Staff at the winery very friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to stop for the afternoon. The front entrance is up a flight of steps, there is a handicapped entrance around back of the building. This is also nice if you make a large purchase, you do not have to carry all that wine down the steps.
The winery has been in the valley a long time and gained a great reputation of a variety of wines to please everyone.
