This is a nice winery with free tasting (up to 5 wines). The only thing that was disappointing is that we got there 1/2 hr prior to closing and the server was very rude and made it quite obvious that we were interfering his ability to get the bar cleaned up so he could go home. We were not the last ones there and sampling didn't take very long anyway. His rudeness made me want to leave as soon as we were done- so I didn't buy anything. The wines were pretty good, especially if you like dryer type wines. The gift shop was fun with lots of "signs" to read and be entertained by.
Had some wonderful wine and cheese. Even picked up information to order more when we run out. Highly recommend stopping here.
Our August visit was a little stop on an afternoon drive. We were able to sample a large selection on their wines. They are associated with Von Stiehl Winery in Algoma, WI. We enjoyed a class of our favorites while our cases were packed up.
Stopped at this winery because of its close proximity to Egg Harbor and the Cheese Master's store, which also got good reviews on Trip Advisor. The setup of the winery was nice, but I was a little disappointed you could only sample five wines. Our server was prompt despite it being fairly busy on a Tuesday. She was knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed the selection of wines, as there was quite a few in the sweet to semi-sweet range to chose from. Overall a pleasant experience.
We planned our destination wedding to include a stop at Harbor Ridge. The experience exceeded our expectations in every way. Of all the possible wineries to choose from, it was the creative names and packaging of the wines that caught our attention, the friendly owners that hooked us, and the great wine is what keeps us and our guests coming back. The presentation that Harbor Ridge presented to our 50 guests made each and every one of them feel special as they gave samples and explained something about each wine. It was outstanding and everyone love it!!
Sampling some of Harbor Ridge's wine was fun and informative. Friendly and helpful staff led us through the tasting process with no pressure to buy anything. We found one we really liked "Gimme One Good Riesling". Door County Soaps is also located in this store. Lots of feel good products here!
This is a fun winery to visit, great spot for tasting, and a friendly staff that loves to explain their wines. Bottom line this should probably be your first stop in Door County if you're new to wineries and their mannerisms. The staff was more than happy to find your taste and did not hesitate to zero in on a bottle or two that fits your sweetness or lack of.....
This was our 3rd and finally winery we stopped at during our visit to Door County. Nice rustic environment with 2 bars for wine tasting plus an upstairs for tasting on busy days. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I left with 2 bottles, but could have bought more it was hard to decide. Cute place with some nice stuff to buy as well. Would definitely return here!
You can taste up to five wines. The person pouring the wine was very nice and informative. Loved the wine granita.
We enjoyed a private tasting of both wine and cheese through Door County Trolley tours and appreciated the atmosphere, the workers, and of course the wine and cheese.
