From start to finish this was a great outing. There were about 20 in our tour but we could easily see and hear everything that was going on. Isla our tour guide was really knowledgeable and had been involved at Cairn O'Mohr for a long time so was able to share lots of stories. The tasting was great - extremely generous amount of wines to try and great flavours. No pressure to buy at all - but we did of course! Its great what they do here in a few sheds - we hope the feel isn't lost as they expand. We'll come back to find out. The café too had good coffee and cakes.
Excellent experience - very knowledgeable guide with great sense of humour and lovely wines to taste and buy. Would recommend to locals and visitors to area.
Received as a Birthday gift and took a friend. We had a lovely afternoon. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and good fun. As others have said lots of wine to taste, some better than others and no pressure to buy. Met some like minded people! More than happy to recommend the tour.
Birthday gift from my son which included lunch, tour and wine tasting. Excellent presentation on the tour and lots of wines to taste - some better than others. Strawberry sparkling wine lovely. Soup and sandwich in café with glass of wine which was very good. Bottle of wine included to take home. All staff very friendly and enthusiastic.
A ITISON voucher took us along to Cairn o Mohr on a blustery Sunday afternoon for a tour and tasting. Our guide Lindsay was full of enthusiasm and knowledge and as regular drinkers of the wines it was nice to see the background to it. Arriving early we had time for a cuppa and snack in the lovely wee café which was busy but welcoming. The post tour tasking was fun with non alcoholic options available, it was rounded off by cider tasting in the shop and a chance to purchase from the full range available as well as select our complimentary bottle. Id happily suggest friends visit and I'll definitely go back to the café and shop
Bought voucher from ItisOn to do something different and it was definitely worth it. A well delivered, tour with a good sized party, followed by the tasting session where we tried nearly all the varieties and were given explanations and suggestions for what foods to accompany the wines with. In the shop we tried some more and I left the visit feeling slightly lively and content.
Brilliant tour , Isla was great, very funny and also explained the history and processes involved in depth. Went with my daughter and we both really enjoyed the day out, the generous wine tasting finished of a really good day out! Some wines were better than others, different from traditional wines but nice just the same. Certainly worth a visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and was amazed at the process each wine goes through. The tour guide was very informative and guided us through the whole process in great detail. The tasting session provided generous measures; overall was very much worth the money. Impressed.
Forget Australia. Forget California. Even forget France. The best wine is found in Perthshire. Cairn O MorhOutstanding!!!
we will be going back when cafe and the tour is on.but was great to see all the wines and taste some,we got couple bottles of cider and bottle of wine, the fact you get a taste is fantastic at least you know when you buy you are going home with something you will enjoy.the girl who served us was very friendly and could not have been any more helpfull.big plus when you have really great staff.only bit that was bummer was, they had no bannana wine and that was one of reasons i went, shame there is no sign it will be made again.so if you want to make me really happy on my next trip, please think of remaking this.
