Naufragados is very nice, you may arrive there by trail or boat. Normally it's good for surfing. There is also a lighthouse and some cannons on the hill on the right side of the beach.
Top 3 atraction in Florianópolis island, is the place to go. Easy walk up and down the hill and you there, a litle piece of paradise.Trully reccommend!
My fiance and I went there on a saturday. You can get there by car or by public transportation (take the line that sais Caieira da Barra do Sul, get off on the last stop). If you go there by car you it's not hard to get there; follow the signs that say 'Sul da ilha', 'Ribeirão da Ilha' and 'Caieira da Barra do Sul'. It took us a good 60 minutes from the center of town until Caieira do Sul since we stopped to take pictures of the amazing scenery and the maximum speed is 60km/h. There were plenty of restaurants that served oysters as a specialty on the way (near or at Riberão da Ilha) Once we got to Caieira da Barra do Sul we left the car at a parking space for R$5 the whole day, then had the option of taking a boat (R$10 p/person one way) or hiking to the beach for free. I must say the hike was exhausting, we were carrying beach chairs and wearing flip-flops (which most people do) but I don't recommend it. The hike there has an uphill, and most of the time you are stepping on stones the size of or bigger than your foot, and muddy (beware if it rains!!!). Although there are no signs along the way, the trail is well-marked and you will see other people who can help you should you need any directions. The beach was very windy and it was about to rain so we did not stay much. The hike one way took us 50min. There is a small camping site for R$ 10 p/person meters away from the beach, a good idea would have been to camp for a night as to be able to enjoy the beach.
Agua cálida, bonita playa, poca gente y buen paisaje.
This is one of my favorite beaches - even though it is a bit difficult to get there, as we can only go by a 30-min hike or by boat. But getting there is worth it. Almost empty beach, the water is a tad cold (it faces the South Atlantic), but the sight is great. On one of the sides there is a river running, with rocks around. A very calm place and a great fun for those seeking nature. It is at the southernmost tip of Florianopolis' island.
