Our family enjoyed this modern, funky presentation of the traditional tale, by a cast of kids only. The talent was obvious, yet spontaneous. The lead roles were done exceptionally well, and the kids really stayed in character. The sets, choreography, lighting, and sound was great. This is one of the oldest continuously running theaters in the country, located a block from the statehouse. Get there early, it is general admission. Park at the bank next door on weekends, the street parking does have meters to feed.
Small theater with comfortable stadium style seating. Best view of stage is in center seating. Winter Wonderland was an awesome show and very entertaining. Actors were first class with wonderful talent and beautiful costumes. This was my second visit and I want to see more shows. Parking is abundant behind theater and at bank of side.
I saw this play not too long ago at Town theater. It far, far exceeded my expectations! I heard others say that it was easily as fine a production as one would see on Broadway. I would have to agree. It was absolutely excellent! I love going to this theater. I'm rarely disappointed in their shows and have been attending for years. I'm eager to see 'Oklahoma', currently on the schedule
Always enjoy going to the Town Theatre to see their shows. Great talent. Especially like watching performers that we know showoff their talent. Will return again and again. Not a bad seat in the house.
Town Theatre is the oldest theatre in the United States. I have personally performed on that stage and it always has great performances. The Youth Program for young up and coming actors is excellent. Lots of great talent has appeared on that stage and stars have been born. TG
My wife and I have been members at Town Theatre for a number of years. We always enjoy the shows we attend. Really enjoyed "Always...Patsy Cline".
We’ve been attending performances at Town Theatre for more than 40 years, most recently to attend a performance of Sleeping Beauty. It was loads of fun. All the performers were children, and most of them were taking to the stage for the first time in their young lives. They were just wonderful! Hats off to director Jamie Carr Harrington, and kudos to Lori Stepp (costumes), Danny Harrington (scenic and lighting design), and others who helped put this production together. As always, we found the Town Theatre to be cozy-comfortable. Coming here is like visiting an old friend. Parking can be problematic, so it’s best to arrive early if you want to park near the theatre. The lobby is quite small, and many theatre-goers prefer to gather on the entrance patio for pre-performance chatting in good weather.
We've seen several shows at Town Theatre and have totally enjoyed every one. From acting to props to costumes, this amateur theater group has a lot of talent!
What a gem. Never a bad show. Great local talant. We've been very happy members since moving here 8 years ago.
I have been attending shows at Town Theatre for 20 years and have never been disappointed. Acting is first-rate, sets and costumes are creative and imaginative and the theatre itself has an historical charm that is unique.
