A beautiful Shrine and healing church. If you visit Gozo you have to go there for the experience. It is known as the Lourdes of Malta and dates back hundreds of years.
The Ta'Pinu Church is located in a wornderful natural setting, making it very pitoresque from outside. The outside architecture is quite different for what you'll get used to see in Malta, and the interior is spectacular. Therre are many proofs of people who got cured from many types of diseases by praying to Our Lady of Ta'Pinu.
Such an amazing and spiritual place to go! Spent several hours and really enjoyed looking at all the memories n messages on the walls.A very special shrine for many people from all over the world.
Visited this site when a service was going on.What a beautiful church.Very beautiful position and scene.A bit out of the way but try and visit.
My family have been to visit here several times throughout the centuries. The architecture is outstanding and the interior is beautifully Catholic. This place is genuinely miraculous. Even if you are not religious it is worth a visit. There's something about this place that makes me want to return. It is so holy; my aunt could not conceive for many years and an older relative told her to go and pray here. She took with her a child's cardigan and prayed for a baby. Before we knew it she was pregnant with two boys! Miracles do happen and this church cathedral is truly worth seeing.
A place of reverence and devotion, towards the back of the basilica are hundreds of stories of healing and miracles from the faithful after praying to Our Lady of Ta Pinu. Really enjoyed my visit here.
This place is very special. The church is very ornate with people visiting because of it's history of healing and wanting to honour Mary the mother of Jesus who the church is named after. The silence within the church is wonderful, with plenty of opportunity for people to sit and reflect, pray, ponder. There is a small gift stall selling Catholic artifacts, and the opportunity for visitors to read accounts written by those who have been touched by God's healing power through pilgrimage to this shrine. Very moving.
Amazing building standing out on its own.once you enter breath taking architecture .love the room in the back with all the relics of people who have been cured by prayers said in the church
The church is breath taking with all of its grandeur. The inside is very beautiful with all of the furniture. There are a lot of works from people thanking the church for the miracle's that have been achieved. Well worth a visit.
A must see even for non-believers simply for its architectural beauty surrounded by all the peaceful fields and nature. For the believers it's a beauty to see and a must to visit this holy shrine which even Pope John Paul II visited personally, while Pope Benedict placed a golden rose in front of the picture of St.Mary which was brought over to Malta especially for this occasion. Also do dedicate an hour to walk up the lovely hill opposite the shrine. It has sacred statues along the way and a praying area at the top with lovely views all around.
