It was a busy weekend as they have a noisy car race there each year and it was a long weekend as it's a national holiday in NZ. However, the beach was lovely. We did not go to Cathedral cove this time as too many people go there now and its being damaged. Like a lot of beautiful places sometimes it is fragile. My advice is respect this beautiful place if you wish your children to enjoy it.
This is a expansive beach in downtown Hahei. There's plenty of room and the views of the off shore islands and cliffs are what most people would be looking for. This is a popular spot, especially during the holiday season.
Loved this place, only thing is that I wanted the beach all to myself. (Heaps of people while I was there) other than that AWESOME
A beautiful quiet beach white sands and a great walk over to Cathedral Cove if you're feeling energetic!
The walk is great...down hill is fantastic... Coming up was hard.. But very good to do. The scenery was fantastic the views were great. Totally enjoyed the walk
Difficult on a hot day, take loads of sunscreen but an interesting walk with the chance to see seabirds. Hahei beach is lovely with a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere
Great place to sit and eat my fish and chip supper, followed by a paddle in the sea. Lovely clean beach and pretty quiet when I was there at sunrise and sunset.
One of the best beaches on the Coromandel - but visit outside of school holidays otherwise I think would be noisy with jet boats, jet skis etc.
Hahei beach is stunning. It is just like being in Fiji on a fine sunny day. Cant wait to get back down there once we leave.
Beautiful beach, warm swimming. Great views of southern pacific ad inland islands. Kayaking looked good and popular. We just flopped and soaked up the sun,
