breathtaking views. just amazing. It is a little bit of a walk to the ocean but well worth it!! We sat on a little island and enjoyed the scenery. Spectacular
The view at the end of the hike is spectacular....looking out on Smugglers Cove, as well as MalaspIna Channel. (You are looking across at Thornamby Island.) A bit rooty in spots, so watch your step!)
I can't wait to take my kids here... WOW! Best way to see it is from a small boat. This cove is paradise.
It's a short hike to enjoy vistas that make people from BC the chauvinists they are: this is beautiful. OK, I thought the number plates "Best Place on Earth" a bit OTT. But I forgave them when I spent the afternoon here.
Its a gem! Beautiful hike, gorgeous views, easy to find, loved it and would definitely do it again and again and again.
in a short time you go through tall trees, marshy area ,wooden steps and then rocky when you are close to the cove. Absolutely beautiful! Best to have proper shoes but doable in flip flops....You will likely see boats tied up in smugglers cove, especially in the summer. A couple of wooden steps have rotted away so do be careful. Well worth a visit.
A rare gem of a marine park. Very sheltered, very scenic. Whether hiking in or boating. Whether just site seeing or staying awhile. Great spots to pitch a tent. Amazing spots to swim and snorkel.Pretty busy during the dog days of summer though.
This walk terminates in beautiful Smugglers Cove. In boating season it is often filled with anchored boats. Part of the path is on wooden planks elevated above the occasional swampy area. The walk is quite suitable for children also.
This trail was recommended to us by our hotel, and we enjoyed it very much - first the walk through swamps, then rain forest before arriving at the stunningly beautiful cove. The trail wasn't difficult and well marked. I recommend stout shoes rather than flip flops. We went in the evening and arrived back at the car just before dark and the park was quite quiet - however I imagine there would be more people early in the day.
Like most stops along the sunshine coast this is another hidden gem with beautiful views. Great for hanging out at the rocky beach, or going for an easy walk. A recommended stop for sure! I've seen a few post about snorkeling, would love to try that sometime. My last visit was in November so a bit too cold for that! There was also a fun rope swing great for kids or the young at heart!
