How animals are treated here is disgusting! Me and my children aged 5 and 10 began crying when we saw the elephants preform unnatural tricks and give people rides, while their trainer stood by them with a bull hook! Hopefully African Lion Safari will stop exploiting these beautiful beings!!!! Traumatizing for children!!
We went here on my toddler kids birthday. It was a wonderful unforgettable experience. My kids enjoyed so well. Loved to see a giraffe, white lion so near the car glass window. And the water park was also so good. Will visit again next year too. God's willing.
Africa lion safari is great when you for the first time or with your family, kids, etc. But for those of us who love wild animals...especially wild cats...african lion safari falls short on that end. I went this summer (2014) and a lot of the big cats were sleeping or just sitting on the rocks. I swear they've had the same lion for ages. Killman Zoo in Caledonia was a much better experience for that.
It's great place to visit for all ages, if you like animals close up or at a distance they have a huge selection. It is fun to watch the look on the kids faces when they can actually touch the animals that they remember from their story books. It's great for the adults to have a day out and do absolutely nothing but enjoy the day. The washrooms are clean and also a place to have some snacks for everyone.
I liked that there is a huge parking area...easy driving directions. I liked seeing all the different animals. There is a good effort to have the animals living in an habitat close to what they would naturally have. Although I am not sure what they do with the animals when winter comes about. most of these animals need warmer climates for survival. If you are going to visit animals, it is better than a lot of zoos.I like the misty water sprays throughout park because on hot, humid days it is heaven to walk through.Totally awesome water park! Price to get in ...too high especially for a family to get in.I would not be a frequent visitor. Every few years is enough for us.
The experience for kids with the animals. One great thing is you don't have to eat at their establishments, you can bring your own food and drinks in., That is a big savings.
It's a great place to bring the whole family, lots of things to See and do. The best part is when you go into the monkey area and you get a very close look at them in action!
Great place for the family. Only thing I don't like is that they charge for every little thing like a pony ride - this should be included in the price. Great picnic area and splash pad.
it is not very big sadly, no elephants :( but lions and monkeys , ostrich and other smaller animals are out there, will go next year for sure! what I hate about these attraction places that they neve r have a nice restaurant to dine in only oily junk food :(
Each time we visit the Safari we are entertained in some way by one of the animals. This year Olive, a beautiful full of life monkey, captured our hearts!
