A beautiful, quiet place in our college town where one can relax on a park bench, or get in a vigorous hike.
Loved it! Fun place for a family Easter Egg Hunt! We took lots of family pics and enjoyed our little hike!
Stopped by to get out of the traffic and was very pleased in how clean and quite this park was. Especially with so many college students using it. Litter was none. Nice pond with koi, catfish, turtles, and ducks.
My husband is the gardener in the family, but I equally enjoyed the various areas of the Arboretum. We wandered many paths, read lots of labels, and relaxed on green sward after strolling abound. A lovely, relaxing, beautiful way to spend time in Harrisonburg!
This is such a tranquil place yet so close to 'the city'. It is very well maintained- flowers, beds, grass, trails, & facilities. An absolute must see/do even if only for a few minutes to walk around and stretch during a break in your trip.
Plenty of trails, can get a good 5 mile walk without repeating yourself. Some very nice garden areas (though i have seen more extensive ones at larger arboretums), though more wood trails than other aboretums. Great place to get in your jog/walk if you are visiting the city.
Great place for a short hike. Lots of beautiful settings from the landscaped pond area to the well maintained trails through the woods.
There was beautiful pond with lot so ducks, turtles and fish. It was so nice to walk around for a little bit. So pretty.
We went in the summer. There were tons of flowers, ducks, fish, and turtles to feed. There are lots of trails to walk and even a meditation circle to walk.A very relaxing place to spend some time!
A quiet and peaceful garden stroll. There is some climbing but all the trails were well maintained. Parking is at a premium and bug repellent is advised. Ducks in the pond are very friendly. Garden colors were still very much in evidence but starting to wane. We spent an hour but it would be easy to spend a couple of hours in the woods.
