We must have been lucky during our two visits, service was average to good, pizza was very tasty "Marco Polo" my favourite and their rose was delicious. Tasting was tasty which is why we opted for their rose.
My husband and I recently spent a Sunday afternoon at Paglione's. We started off in the tasting room and enjoyed the fabulous wine samples. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable at finding the perfect wines suited for our taste. After purchasing 3 of our now favourite wines, we sat outside on the large patio with a wood burning pizza oven. We ordered a pizza and enjoyed our wine as we listened to the Italian music and chatted with the very friendly staff. Our pizza quickly arrived, it was absolutely delicious! We ended our visit with an authentic expresso. The patio was full of families, couples and friends all enjoying their afternoon, a definite must try if your in the area. Looking forward to our next visit!
The moment you walk through the doors the comfort and ambiance surround you. Making you feel like family. From the smell of the pizza and the taste of the cab franc it definitely gives a home spun feel. The warm smiles and the genuine hospitality are second to none. Not to mention laughter and music, it is without a doubt a must visit vineyard.
Nothing but good. Food, wine and entertainment. Oven pizzas were fantastic. The owner clearly enjoys seeing others appreciating what he has done and built. Will revisit for sure.
Cons: The waitresses should be better trained. The two young ladies who waited on us acted bored and had absolutely no people skills.Even the wine tasting experience did not seem to have been done professionally,as at other wineries. We ordered 2 pizzas:the toppings were delicious, but the crust of one was mostly charred, and the other one was slightly burned on one side.To be fair,I have to say that when we showed the owner the charred crust,he gave us a free refill of sangria. What I DIDN'T tell him that i found a long hair in my last bite of pizza!! Had it been my first bite,I would have been extremely upset!!When I paid our bill, the cashier told me that a burned pizza should have been replace with a properly cooked one!!Pros:The atmosphere is lovely.....the patio is beautiful, with a view that goes on for miles. The owner and his son are very friendly, and chat amiably with their guests. The patio is clean;the chairs are comfortable and there are several umbrellas for shade. You can also eat indoors if you wish.
My first and last time.Met family to try their oven baked pizza. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes and still NO pizza. The owner came over and stated that they forgot to put our order in and that he would give us complimentary wine. He gave us a pitcher of water.Family went to pay for the wine and expressed their opinion to the waitress who took the order, all she said was that they were busy. NO APOLOGIES FROM THE WAITRESS. Thought that the owner and employees handled our situation poorly, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.
My husband and I joined a couple friends for a day of wine tasting in the area and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. In fact Paglione winery was the most memorable and had the best wine of all 4 that we visited. We have been wine tasting in Napa and would say the experience we had at Paglione was equally as nice, the staff was very knowledgeable, the wine was delicious and the snacks were yummy. We would for sure go back!
Arrived here anxious to try their oven fired pizza only to not get one after waiting close to two hours. All the other patrons who arrived after us were enjoying their food while my seemingly invisible family never got theirs. When we inquired as to the problem, Mr Paglione advised us our order was nvr submitted but our puzza would be up in 15 mins. As well we would receive a complimentary glass if wine. Wow...half an hour later no pizza and no wine. Very unorganized winery with rude bar staff. This is one local winery I will stay away from
Fantastic atmosphere! Owners were very friendly and made us feel at home. Pizzas were perfect. Highly recommend this place.
I really liked this place. The building has an authentic Italian feel unique to the area and there's a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Very personable and entertaining owner. And the wine is good. I didn't try the wood-fired pizza but will next time I go. I overheard others saying it was tasty. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and a good addition to the wine route.
